If there’s anything Howie Roseman has taught me, it’s that cap space can magically be pulled out of your ass. No matter how dire the circumstances may look.

Yeah, I get it. We don’t want to him to sign with anybody else, but it still makes sense for McCoy.

One thing:

If McCoy wants to win there’s no place with a better track record in the past 20 years than right here. If he were to sign with an AFC team and a chance at a ring was his priority I would rank Us and the Chiefs over Indy.

Of course! We are the freakin’ Patriots. I’m just saying what makes sense for him. Everybody may not want to play here for “chump change” or on a certain snap count. Just playing devil’s advocate.

You don’t have to go to the Pats for a chance to win, there are other teams. But the Colts is not one of those teams.

I think a player like this gets their own thread. Unlikely,sure, but still a shot at top level talent.
