Underrated aspect about our draft picks this year

Exactly. You’re cherry picking to make your argument.

No, I picked out our "TOP" picks, Stidham isn't a top pick, chances are he'll be a back up his whole career.

I think people are confused with the thread title.

The real story here is that drafted 10 guys this year and currently has 13 MORE picks next year. The purpose of these 2 drafts is to eventually wind up with about 10 players who will make up what will amount to the core of the FOURTH (or 5th depending on how you are counting) iteration of the Pats dynasty.

These 2 drafts will be key to the sustaining excellence and a big factor. The OTHER big factor will be to see if the next generation of Coaches can develop into great teachers. Right now the strength of our defense is the 2ndary, and they will be coached by Steve Bellichick, (S) who IIRC is in his 6th year with the team, and Pelligrino (CB's) who will be entering his 4th. Pelligrino is an interesting case in that he was a college lacrosse player who got an internship with the team and shown enough effectiveness as a teacher to be promoted to a position coach's job in relatively a VERY short time.

Laurence Maroney, Chad Jackson, and Jordan Richards had no injury history either.......I just hope the dudes can play at the pro level

The 3 stooges.

The employee whose production is outstanding has issues with attendance and the employee who can barely tie his shoes is 30 minutes early never missing a day.

I hear what you are saying, but I don't think injuries are all about luck (or lack there of). Some players have a style of play that makes them prone injuries.

We all made fun of the Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne for 'going down' or 'going out of bounds' when in hindsight perhaps that was probably the best thing they could have done. We love Gronk and Edelamn for their grit and desire to gain that 'extra yard', but it comes at a cost.

Thats where my "mostly irrelevant" comes into place. I agree totally that some have a play style that makes them more likely to be in dangerous situations. But if you look at the most impactful injuries in the last few years they were due to unavoidable hits.

Which again just makes my point that it was more complicated than just the ones with a history get injured.
