Jets Suck -- 2019 Edition (Official): Entering A New Half-Century of Moronic Mediocrity!

Man, it must be nice to hire your own boss.

Even with those circumstances, scientists at MIT and Cal Tech have been unable to unearth the root cause of this burp of success. Several PhD theses have been published on the topic, none drawing a clear conclusion leading to broad agreement. In 2018, the research was stopped after all of the students involved, and their advisers, entered depression treatment programs or quit science altogether and joined ashrams.

But lest we incompletely chronicle the evolution of research into the Jete 2009/2010 seasons, it should be noted the boost to the field of chaos theory traceable to this eddy of research. Although the beating of a butterfly's wings has not been definitively linked to the JETE not sucking for those 2 years, all the very unlikely branching decision points necessary for that outcome did result in a great deal of progress in the mathematics of "fat tail" events.

The Jete have only managed to post 15 winning seasons in the past FIFTY years.

And the part about them going to AFCCGs twice? Look at it this way.

The likelihood of the Pats being in the AFCCG for the last 50 years are about the same as the odds of the Jets winning more games than they lost.

Definitely baked too long.

Ironically, he is able to keep many of his observations only half-baked.

Charlie Casserole...now you see? THIS is an example of the overall superiority of a normal fan's mind in contrast to the "duh, uh, dur.." mindset of the common jete rooter. I hesitate to call them fans because they're more like bugs infesting the roots of the NFL oak tree...and Charlie's face looks like a casserole...left out in the sun for a couple of days...cringe

Belichick: "Who's been been wrong more than Charley Casserly?"

“Who’s been wrong more than Charley Casserly since he left the Redskins? His percentage is like a meteorologist,” Belichick said.

“He has no relationship to this team. I’d say less than zero. Based on what? He’s never at a practice, never at a game,” Belichick said before getting into a discussion of sports media practices in general.

“At least he put his name on it which is more than a lot of guys. But, like he usually is, he was 100 percent wrong.”

This is the guy I want running my team

I gotta ask, how did the Jets go from regular AFC championship appearances to this complete flaming dumpster? They’re making the Jags look like a model franchise...hell, looks like they are trying to become the new Cleveland.
1) Regular = 2. That's the high-water mark of the franchise. The short answer is, the bill came due for all the overpriced free agents from the time that 4-year window started. They just got better free agents that time around.

2) Even when they're winning, the default state for the Jets is 'flaming dumpster'.

3) The Jags just had the same thing happen, the bill came due on the free agents/some of the draft picks ended up not working out. It happens. But the Jaguars had a decade run of moderate success just about starting in the mid-90s. The Jets have never had a sustained run of success that long.

4) The Jets weren't becoming the New Cleveland. The Jets are the Jets. Cleveland had become the New Jets.

Oh yeah...the “master plan” implication by Baldinger. They’ve known its time for a huge shakeup since 2017. Can’t believe this guy is dumb enough to tweet anything along these lines. When everyone else is laughing, maybe it’s because something’s funny. Like this titanic failure.

Perennial playoff power? Paging Jim Mora.
Unfair. Jim Mora actually coached multiple playoff teams.

Might as well be Charlie Casserole picking the GM again. Or just go with Charlie, don’t want to stress out Christopher or Adam because he’ll be bugging out again.
Casserole might BE the new GM.

This would be great news for the Patriots.

I’d give Charred Casserole, “Tuna,” as a nickname but there already was a Tuna.

Not only does your team suck, but those writing about your team suck too.

In fact, Sewer York just plain sucks. I hate everything about that filthy armpit.

I think he meant New Jersey, not New York.

Whoa, whoa, whoa lets not get carried away i'm with One-B-Low, they make great pizza in nyc
The pizza at some places in Sewer York might be good, but that's not enough to save it...or the rest of the tri-state area, including the swamps of Exit 16W.

I know that it has already happened but not for a while... think the Gaze JETE can pull off an 0-16 perfect defeated season?

(I think they could do it if they get unhealthy and stay unhealthy.)

Adam Gase: I didn’t win power struggle with Mike Maccagnan

LMAO. Gase claims there was no power struggle, he loves MacCromagnon and "sh!t like this happens all the time in football." Uh no Googly Eyes, “s–t like this” absolutely does not ‘happen all the time’ in football. Whacky jete may happen constantly around the Jete but when’s the last time a GM kicked off a rebuild by hiring a new coach, spent big in FA, handled the draft and then got canned? That is pure Jete right there. S--t like that not only doesn't happen all the time, it only happens in the Jersey swamplands

Manning can go back to Tennessee for a year to avoid the Jets again.

Can anyone cite one other time this has happened in football, whereby a GM is fired by the team after overseeing the coaching hire, free agency, and the draft, in the same offseason?

$10 says Charlie Casserly is the new GM by midnight tomorrow. Or a data entry hourly guy from the NEPs.

Well he's either not crazy ... not stupid ... or both.
That job offers him nothing .........
