OT: Patrick Peterson suspended for 6 games

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Patrick Peterson's PED ban was for six games instead of four because his test revealed a masking agent in addition to a banned substance.

“Four games is the baseline, but Peterson gets extra time for trying to manipulate the result. It's not a good look for the 28-year-old All-Pro, though he is obviously far from the only one in the NFL using such methods. Pat Pete's 2019 debut will come in Week 7 against the Giants. Either Eli Manning or Daniel Jones could get his season off on the right foot.”

The sad part is, there’s a ton more tweets from him bashing Brady.

He even went so far as to post a picture of a “needle ring” to try and tweak a Pats fan he was going back and forth with.

Guy deserves every bit of hate he gets for being a total hypocrite piece of trash.

Here's one of Peterson's tweets at the time:

It's strange that Peterson had such a strong (and stupid) opinion on the topic. He's only faced the Patriots twice in his career and only one of those games happened prior to 2015. It's not like Brady picked on him, intentionally avoided throwing in his direction or the Patriots knocked the Cardinals out of playoff contention multiple times.

This fool attacked Tb during deflate gate so **** him!!! Hahahaha

He's a self righteous *******. If I was brady, I'd call him out.

Brady would be foolish to call out someone while still being subject to testing. Furthermore, it has never been his style and he is over 40...

Hmm, something about not throwing stones in a glass house.....

DEFLATEGATE KARMA CLAIMS ANOTHER VICTIM

By the way, anyone around here been keeping up with that Brady guy since? How's he done?

Only 3 titles since Deflategate, fkin cheater.

It really is funny for PEDerson to go out of his way, multiple times, to dog Brady about crap he didn't have any proof actually happened. Like some sort of beacon of justice against the dirty, rotten Evil New England Empire. Fk that guy

The other vocal idiot was Emmanuel Sanders, who had been caught and fined for faking injuries during games, and is a notorious woman cheater (wife divorced him for despicable track record.) You pretty much know who the scumbags are by the level of self-righteousness, Goodell being at the top.

I wonder if you can cut a player after his suspension has been announced? The Cardinals are paying him a ton of money and they aren’t going anywhere and he is no lost for a more than a third of the season.

"You don't respect yourself, which is your problem. But you don't respect the game, and that's my problem. Also, I've been suspended for six games. Four for cheating with performance enhancing drugs. A and two for cheating by using a masking agent to try to throw off the results."

Yes. They can. Cap charges would apply.

Patrick Peterson= cheater
And Gilmore is now a better cb than him.

What did Sanders say? Surprising since he signed an offer sheet in 2013. I wonder why the Pats didn’t pursue him in 2014?

Sorry for the glitches. My computer is acting up. My purpose for submitting "Patriots" into the discussion was to see if your sentiment changed. It didn't and therefore you'r not a homer. Athletes have gotten bigger and faster. The current worst NFL team might beat the world champion of 30 years ago because of size and quickness. It's not drug related. Carl Lewis lost an Olympic dash to Ben Johnson. Lewis knew Johnson was taking performance drugs before Johnson was disqualified. How is that not victimless? "The whole ethical argument is gone". Being ethical is not about a system, money or winning. Ethics will never surrender is my foundation.
Lewis was taking them too. Everyone in that race in Seoul, except for Lewis, was eventually suspended and/or banned from track and field in the course of their career. There's plenty of anecdotal evidence Lewis took steroids too from people who would know - also he had the early 90s tell-tale 'braces at age 30' that steroid users of that era had, because their jaws grew so much.

That's how it's not victimless. Sure, Lewis knew Johnson was on something. Johnson knew Lewis was on something too.

Taking PEDs isn't an ethical argument, and suspending players for it in any sport is ridiculous.

Oh, he won't call him out publicly.

Now, will he receive a package in the coming days with the TB 12 Starter Kit inside?

A believe either Peterson or a buddy of his said he was taking a drug for a diabetic condition which was apparently either on the ban list or tested the same as a banned drug.

Almost certain there’s a clause that most prescription drugs can be taken provided it gets cleared by the NFL beforehand. How about that masking agent? Also prescription?

Were you alive for the steroid era in baseball? Every record is now tainted and the sport has been ruined in many ways. Letting it go would possibly level the paying field, but this would just encourage sports to become about which chemicals can top the previous ones.

The NFL has this one right.

I was not defending Lewis, just using the race as an example. You have failed on the victimless standard. Let's say there are no drug restrictions in the future. Do you think there will be drug competition? There will be collateral damage in the form of sickness and death. Records will be shattered as human endurance becomes chemical endurance. I want performance based on athletic achievement and not chemical achievement. Taking PEDs is an ethical argument and that is not an opinion.
