It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I don't know if he ever did or not, but even if he was a HOF pro athlete, to me he'd still be a major DB. To me, no one necessarily has to be any type of athlete to be a good analyst. In my opinion, Lou Merloni, Christian Fauria and Scott Zolak suck. And I think Mike Holley, Tom Curran and Phil Perry are good. Ex-athletes can be good and they can also suck. Same for non-athletes. Anyway, just my take.i agree 100 percent. probably never played organized sports in his life.
Perhaps I should have made this thread a poll:
Is WEEI getting desperate?
You just posted by far the most brilliant observation re: Boston sports talk radio I've ever seen. Kudos and bravo...Maybe they could do a sign and trade. Send Hart and Keefe to NBC Boston/comcast/b!tch central and get Holley back to pair with Arnold. At least fans would end up with a few hours a day where they get something that might not be either a big bag o suck or a constant douche fest. Yeah I know, that's not how any of this works...
I miss the Dale and Holley show, used to be my favorite. Keefer mehness, so lame...Maybe they could do a sign and trade. Now THAT is the very definition of the term, "addition by subtraction". That's a pretty low bar for Hart to aspire. He is kind of filling a void left by Tomase leaving ... nowhere to go but up for that.
You're confusing TV personalities with journalists. They aren't the same thing nor are they intended to be. Hart wasn't a journalist at PFW and he won't be one at EEI.I guess the time has passed when a journalist had to show genuine talent (acumen/insight/perceptiveness) to land a meaningful gig. Now it's all about showmanship and posturing. Gary Tanguay is the local poster child for that approach.
TV killed the Sportstalk Radio Star (not to be confused with The Buggles)Sportstalk radio has hit the crapper for a while now their penchant for sensational conspiracy driven theories have made them pretty much unlistenable.. the only thing that will make me listen again if they have intelligent conversation, but that is too high a bar in this day and age..
Always been a fan of Arnold, until he gets all huffy and puffy.. bring back Holley.
Does Hart have the ability to speak louder than the other hosts?? Can he overspeak them?? Both prerequisites for that gig..
After what he did he should have ended up on the first train out of town, then put on a slow boat to china. with a one way ticket.tomase is nauseating. where did he end up? boston sports network redsox beat?
