Jets Suck -- 2019 Edition (Official): Entering A New Half-Century of Moronic Mediocrity!

They make a good point saying Maccromagnon should've been fired concurrent with Blowes. But what nobody around the Jete has guts enough to point out -- team, media and fans alike -- is that Maccro was an utter imbecile wasting precious draft capital moving up just three spots to pick a mediocre QB in Blockhead Blunder Boy, a/k/a Dam Darnit. Maccro probably should breathe a sigh of relief escaping that asylum in one piece.

My take: Mehta is a great writer. He is one of the better beat writers out there. I’m just talking about his talent with a pen here. He is hilarious, witty, and intelligent...as just a pure writer, the guy is gold and honestly I’d kind of miss him.

As a troll, he’s more of a playful one than a self-righteous one like Bob Kravitz. He trolls the Patriots a lot but it’s usually with self-deprecation and an undertone that he’s a self-admitted fanboy hater.

Unfortunately, a lot of his columns are puff jobs because that’s how the NYJ operate on every level. It’s all about influence, back stabbing, back scratching, etc., almost like a Game of Thrones drama. Somehow every NYJ best writer is universally despised for some type of heavy bias, and we all know why.

Maybe Mehta will move north and cover the NEP just for some revenge. People would be shocked at how much they like his columns when they’re not driven by trading propaganda for info resulting in laughable bias.

Yep, Sham Darnit already has happy feet, and another year behind that O-line will really ruin him.

Dumb ass Macca spent all that money to get Bell, but none of the money that PIT spend on the O-line that opened holes for Bell and gave Rapistburger time to throw.

We all know the cycle: Crazy Eyes just killed off Macca and Dinger, in a year or so new scapegoats will need to be found so Williams will kill off Crazy Eyes, a new system will be put in so all players picked by the current regime will be put on the scrap heap, rinse, repeat till you get 50 more years of mediocrity.

Maccro probably should breathe a sigh of relief escaping that asylum in one piece.
The main sigh of relief comes from him talking Johnson into signing a two year extension before firing him.

Macca will get to spend the next two years cashing Jete pay checks while the team circles the toilet.

Kravitz is a loethsome human being. I'm glad he was fired.

I do think he was a good writer though. He was decent in the early to mid 2000s then he became acerbic as his national profile increased he jumped on the Hatriots bandwagon

Mehta => CroMagnon: Is your job safe?

CroMagnon => Mehta: Are you kidding? They've let me handle free agency and the draft. They'd be idiotic to make a change now.

Johnson: Hold my beer.

You must have mis-read my post. I didn't say he is someone who always gets the scoop right, due to all of the pettiness within the organization. He's a good writer. No one who covers the Jets has a high degree of accuracy in reporting because all the sources in the organization are confused and unsure about what the hll is going on.

I really liked how all of the Jets beat writers shat on Michael Lombardi's report on dissension within the Jets, painting Lombardi as a hack with an agenda. And now they all have egg on their face for carrying the Jets' ownership's water.

The have egg on their face for having anything to do with that dumpster fire of an organization.

Not only does your team suck, but those writing about your team suck too.

In fact, Sewer York just plain sucks. I hate everything about that filthy armpit.
Whoa, whoa, whoa lets not get carried away i'm with One-B-Low, they make great pizza in nyc

This just in: the Jete are willing to dispose of Leveon Belch if the right suitor comes along. :D:D:D

Link: John Clayton: 'I Could Absolutely See' Jets Trading Le'Veon Bell Before Season

If New York Jets head coach and acting general manager Adam Gase had his way, Le'Veon Bell might never play a down for the team. NFL insider John Clayton speculated the Jets would be open to dealing Bell this offseason. "If there's a suitor, I could absolutely see the Jets trading him before the start of the season," he said on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh. The Jets signed Bell to a four-year, $52.5 million contract that included $27 million guaranteed.

Edit: the below was in response to JeteTwink79 posting a sarcastic meme of Googly Gaze being announced as hating his wife and children -- an attempted riff on Gaze not wanting Leveon Belch. He then deleted it.

Not funny. And no amount of forced "humor" on your part will minimize these FACTS: (1) Leveon Belch does not want to be with the Jete, (2) Googly Gaze does not want Belch on the Jete, (3) Jete management is in more serious disarray than its usual incompetency and (4) Jete ownership doesn't know its arse from a hole in the ground.

Yep, it should be blindingly obvious that this incestuous back stabbing machiavellian cabal is rotten to the core. Add to that a fat and greedy running back, an oft injured slot WR, a bottom of the barrel OL and a 2nd year QB dealing with his second set of coaches and playbooks in two seasons and the entire organization is swirling around the toilet.

Your nicknames in the last page of this thread have been absolute fire. Pure and utter golden slapstick humor. Keep up the good work.

Not much of a market then and unlikely to be much of one now. Believe about half of a $50M contract is a signing bonus, so Jets would pay 4/25 and another team would pay 4/25. Probably still overpaid at $6M per year. They’d have to swap players with someone badly overpaid the free agency who is in a similar situation than Bell.

The only player with that potential is CJ Mosley.

Whoa... you think I deleted it?

Think again. Ask the mods about that one.

Though not sure why they would delete it.

Edit: it was a link to an image on another forum. Maybe that had something to do with it? The image wouldn't upload here (too large), but would upload at the other forum. So I just linked to the other forum.

Worked for a bit, then the post disappeared. Definitely odd.
