I dunno how attached he was to that number in the first place. If I recall correctly, 91 was pretty much his only option back when he was drafted.

If our rookies pan out I'm in, might or might need Gordon all the way also but if him also might be able to gamble.

IF Collins doesn’t free lance, then it’s a good signing if he can go back to his 14/15 season with us then it’s good if not then just cut him. Imagine it will be a one year deal with heavily based incentives. Don’t hate it or love it, just seems a good depth signing with upside

I knew this would happen. Watch him revert back to the player before he was in the doghouse and traded.

I'm pretty sure those two have covered that ground already and Bill made his expectations very clear.

I'm sitting here LOLing about BB. Forget the Patriots' long standing philosophies of getting rid of guys one year "too early" and finding under-used diamonds in the rough on other teams! Everybody's doing that now in copying us. We're gonna sign back our own guys that we dumped years ago! Ernie! Get the phone book!

Totally agree. Loved his athletic gamestyle
Of play that he put forth. But yeah, his antics of freelancing and being a liability against the run were evident and wasn’t sad in the least to see him go.

Hopefully the 2nd go round fares better and he is a little bit more mature this time. Good thing about this team is you still got to go out to ota’s, tc and prove yourself. If he can’t, he’ll be gone. Would love to see him succeed and be back here though. Even if only in a a special role that he does well.

Are you kidding? BB wouldn't consult with Mayo even though he's to be his coach and was his former teammate? At the very least, not consulting with Mayo would be insulting to him.

Equally speculative but far more likely is that Mayo made the case to BB that he could coach Collins to success here.

Has to prove that he can play within the defensive call but for low dollars, it’s a good signing. Back-up LB that can cover decently enough if asked and he gives BB more flexibility from a personnel standpoint.

There are a lot of ifs.

If he was humbled a bit and sticks to his job/game plan, then I’ll be the first one to welcome him back with open arms. If he pulls the same freelance crap as before....



BB shipped his arse out once and will do it again if need be. I’m an optimist so I’m gonna say this works out well for both sides...
