Ben Watson signs with NE

Rapoport is saying "Watson is planning to sign back with New England again. Few issues to work through, but those won't hold up deal."

This signing might not work out, but it's a legit attempt to lessen the TE problem. So, as long as the investment isn't too limiting, I'm all for it.

I can kinda dig this group. It has a 2003-2005 & 2016 type vibe. They obviously need some players to work out. Protect the QB & have a balanced offense with a great run game + complimentary players that get open.

I hope the people upset about this were also upset about ASJ and LaCosse, because Watson is better than both of them.

I assume we see some extension soon. We seem to be pretty tight against the cap again.

If Rapoport is saying that, does that mean Watson is on his way to visit Buffalo?

How do you figure? We were at something like 10m space after accounting for rookies, and these 2 latest deals can't be more than $6m combined cap hit. There's not really anyone left to throw money at, so at this stage it's probably pointless to try to save money.

I hope we still explore the DT market right now.

Next up: David Givens.

All I can say is that he's no Foster Moreau. Way to screw that one up Belichick! 0-16 for sure.

If we can get 50 or so catches out of this group till Gronk comes back it’ll be perfect.

This Just In: Ben Coates refuses to come out of retirement

Make sure you erase Monty Beisel’s number from BB’s cell phone.

Hopefully Reche Caldwell's phone privileges have been taken away from him in whatever prison he's in so we'll all be spared the horror of that reunion, too.

At 3 mill probably something like 1-1-1-, 1 mill signing, 1 mill base 1 mill in incentives.
