What To Expect From Damien Harris Rookie Season?

I think Harris was a Steal where we selected him and might be more accomplished than Sony as a Rookie. What I mean is he might be Three down player great value.

I'm just waiting for the time McDaniels puts all the RB's on the field together. Sony and Harris in the backfield, White, Burkhead and Develin split out as recievers. It would be hard for a defense to guess whats coming.

I would not put it past him.

I expect Sony to see more passes thrown his way this year.

I see Harris as a 3rd down, short yardage and redzone tough yards RB. If you recall last year, the Pats struggled in this area especially in the first part of the season.

He will still get his shots on other downs too.

A run play that gets stuffed

Harris >>> Burkhead
I love what I see and hear about Harris, and it makes RB a ridiculously strong and deep position. The additional investments in RB and OL tell us that BB and Josh loved the running game established late last season and want to continue with it.

But don't sleep on Rex. He's the most talented of the 4, his workload just needs to be managed more than the others. I hope we can re-do his deal so he stays for at least a couple of more seasons.

Rex=most talented?

He is the least talented to me by far. Solid pass catcher but doesn't have elite speed, subpar runner who goes down easily.

The Wish-bone???

The Wish-bone???

by the time brady retires, defenses will be so geared towards the passing game, that the wishbone may just do it......but then again, isn't RPO just a pro version of it anyway?

This is, uh, certainly a take
Rex is a very decisive runner, hits the hole extremely quickly and almost always the right decision that gets him yards, very good receiver. ergo, most talented.

Burkhead averaged an impressive 3.3 yards per carry with 12 yards being his longest run last year.

In the AFCC and SB combined, he carried 19 times for 84 yards (4.4) and 2 TD's, including a 14 yarder vs KC and a 26 yarder vs LA. Also had 6 receptions for 38 yds in those 2 games (6.3).

And he was on the field throughout the KC overtime, scoring the winning TD.

He’ll get 350 all purpose yards due to a combination of injuries and spot duty.

He might even start chipping away at goal line touches and short yardage 3rd downs. He looks great in those situations, not only hits the hole with authority, but catches well and is solid in pass protection.

You realize Sony Michel had like a dozen games with statistical production exceeding this and James White is arguably the most important player not named Brady on the offense, right?
