And draft a PG at 14
Let Irving walk
Find another home for Rozier
Let the offense flow through Hayward more
I'd rather see it flow thru Tatum.Offseason priority for Ainge.....trade for and/or sign an affordable starting PG who isn’t a megalomaniac.

Sign and trade. If he wants to go to a team that doesn’t have enough cap space he could go back to the Celtics and tell them to sign and trade him to a new team with the Celtics getting players and draft picks in return.I know little about how the NBA works. Can someone explain to me how Ainge can get any return for Irving at this point? Isn't he a free agent when the season ends?
Not sure if Haywards problem is in his foot or in that 4 inch space between his ears.. he has shown some semblance of what he was late in the season, but not much lately.. he seems tentative and hesitant in his play.
Isn't 18.5 months enough to recover from a fractured tibia and dislocated ankle ?? Considering he had access to the best post op care and rehab services available, including sports psychologists..
Assuming the Celts lose tonight:
- Kyrie is a goner. Let him walk vs. giving him a max deal, IMO.
- Hopefully, Horford picks up his player option...I think he will at 30M/year.
- Hayward will get better than he is now, IMO. He's too good to not come back 100%.
- Tatum needs to bulk up even more...he's too skinny and doesn't take contact well...add 10 more pounds and there will be more contact & calls from the refs.
- Brown is a great player...needs to be more consistent offensively. Smart is my favorite Celtic by far and even got better from downtown this season.
- Hope Baynes picks up his player option...but I think he'll get better offers in FA. We need Baynes.
- Try to re-sign Maurice Morris...don't break the bank if we can.
- Let Rozier hit free agency.
- Ditto for Theis. It's Robert Williams' time.
After all of that....I try to make a trade with the Pelicans for AD...give them everything except Tatum/Brown/Hayward/Horford. We don't need all of our drat picks. Then pick up a PG that can start...and at least defend some taller players.....a tall order though....
I would let Irving walk...keep Rozier and also draft a PG or C at #14. Rozier does not shoot great but his turnover rate was phenominal. I would definitely get rid of Theis Baynes and (boo boo)...they all suck.assume we dont keep kyrie
why not rozier? i think he excelled mostly last years playoffs, so why not ask him to do it down the line? you can't evaluate anyone on this years team, they all sucked big time, and we know they're better than that
We named our guinea pig Kyrie last year ...I want Kyrie gone. more than anything else. I can't stomach him wearing a Celtics uniform.
