LOL: Checkout The Number Of People In The Bills Draft Room!

It's not just the crowd of people standing around, it's the whole "control room" setup with the electronic walls of prospects, rows of identical monitors, etc. For contrast, here's the Patriots' war roomn:
Behind The Scenes: Patriots Draft Room

I doubt it makes a difference either way--as others have said, the Bills had a solid draft. And let's be honest, if the Patriots had set up a deluxe hi-tech draft bat cave and the Bills were scribbling with dry erase markers in the world's most generic conference room, we'd be laughing in the other direction. But still, wow what a contrast.
Can someone tell me who is all in that room? And why are there so many people in that room this past draft?

Here's a Colts clip. Similar to the Bills and Seahawks. A couple thoughts

-It's so obvious how the hollywood movie Draft Day has influenced war rooms
- The GM is putting on a show for the owner in front of the whole room
- None of the scouts or line coaches need to be there. 30 guys in the back so one can confirm "this guy runs like a rocket" is a waste of time
- The decision making isn't about value or who is on their board, Ballard the GM basically asks the owner for his opinion on what to do
- The clapping afterward I think is so silly

Interesting, Clots GM and Washington Football team are engaging in small talk. I don't remember who it was but said BB and co are to the point, no small talk. Do you want to do this deal or not.

Interesting how Ballard has guys there to get a final opinion where as I assume BB teaches his scouts exactly how he wants to be given information about each prospect so there's no communication barrier in what a scout wrote down in a report.

Fascinating stuff, even if it's the doped up owners draft room.

I thought it was interesting (for us) that Josh McDaniels was in the draft room. Supposedly it was always BB, Caserio, Adams and head of scouting (and the Krafts as spectators) in the room, coordinators weren't asked to be in there. I think the inclusion of McDaniels basically confirms that while no one knows when BB is retiring, McDaniels should be the one taking over after BB.

He was in there last year as well. Definitely part of the deal that made him reject the Colts job at the last second.

Agree. Turning the draft war room into an entertainment thing is idiocy. Might just be me but it's like inviting a music fan to a band's song writing / recording session which is notably different from a concert back stage pass.
Do you want to win games, or fill seats?

If you’re not doing the first you grab straws to do the second.

No mater if you one or a hundred clowns in a room, the bills are still a joke!

MMA in the background.

We are very fortunate to be fans of a team run by BB. His GM decisions are sometimes criticized on here, but when you add drafts, trades, cap management, and UDFAs - we’d be much worse if he wasn’t in charge.

Not wishing his departure, but it would be interesting how things would go if Caserio was given full control.
Caserio is there because Bill trusts him to stay informed and keep Bill informed. If he were given full control I don't think there would be any major changes.

What is up with the guy in the hospital with the Mexican Wrestlers Mask on?? Superfan??

This all seems a tad surreal compared to how the Pats deal with the Draft.... maybe all those suits are props hired to try to legitimize the process, a couple of years ago the press was pimping what a great coach Sean McDermott was, now two years in he is 15 & 17, and the crowd has gone quiet..

How come the Patriots can't find a guy like Pancho? At least they went to the playoffs in 2017 for the first time since 1999. He's rooting for a team that delivers every 18 years or so. Feliz Cinco de Mayo 2037, baby!

Those guys standing around don’t work for the Bills. They are the winners of the annual contest for doing table jumps without spilling a drop of beer.

The Bills were the best of the bunch and the closest to challenge for the division I feel if any of them will take the next step. Miami is full of holes, the ones where you need three very good drafts to fill them all and the Jets are led by Gase so there’s nothing to worry about there.
For me, "which AFCE team is closest to contention" quickly becomes a referendum on which second-year QB you prefer out of Darnold, Allen and Rosen. For me, I'm not sure who I prefer out of Rosen and Darnold but I do know Allen is a distant third on that list for me, so based on that I'm not too worried about the Bills.

Holy chit!!!!

The first two sentences spoken by Ballard in that are "Now you're running off pure adrenaline to get to this point. I mean that's our Super Bowl, that's our day".

On each of the calls to these college players, he's calling them "Brotha". This "dude" would embarrass a frat house.

How the eff can the Patriots NOT exist on a completely different plane than these amateur emo teens?

No wonder Brady and Belichick have decided never to leave the buffet line. The rest of the NFL is now free chow.
