The Official “Who I Woulda Drafted” Thread

For posterity, let’s post who you would’ve drafted for each pick as they happen based on who’s available so that we can later look smart. (Or more likely: very, very dumb)

Me first: 1st round TE Irv Smith

I would've traded back. While I warmed up on Harry I still like AJ Brown better by a bit and Butler is arguably a better option too. I think they could have traded back for value and picked the last of the 3 that remained. I think any of them could have worked here honestly.

I’d love to complain about the pick but can’t. By all reports the Cardinals were going to take him with their next pick. He fills an immediate need and has the size we need in a WR.

You don’t have that option to participate on this thread. You must name a pick at the spot the Patriots actually drafted.

AJ Brown. But they were close enough that it won’t keep me up nights.

No shade on the Harry pick. Just, if someone asked you while the Pats were on the clock who you thought should be the pick, what would you say?

Harry and AJ was a tossup for me. All others were quiet a bit behind for me.

Okay. If I can't trade back then I supposed I'd keep it the same. While I would prefer AJ Brown if the Pats believe this player is a better fit I'll go with it.

If I decide to pass on WR then it's either Dre'mont Jones - DT or Risner - OL with a slight nod towards Jones.

Bill Polian: I would have drafted Tom Brady

I would have drafted Harry....

But that's only after the fact.

If it were me, I would've done something insanely stupid like draft DK Metcalf. This is because I don't pay all that much attention to the predraft.

10 minutes after Harry was picked, I was confident that I would have done the same as the Patriots IF I had spent maybe 30 minutes studying things prior to the pick.

Since almost all the relevant pass rushers were gone, the only other player who intrigued me was Drew Lock.

Of the guys that went 5 or so picks ahead of Harry, I was most intrigued by J. Abram and Tillery.

I'm actually gonna go full Polian on this, meaning I'll post my answer in a decade or so

Harry was one of my targets. I have no issue with him being taken at 32 since that’s where he was projected to be taken.

I haven't paid attention to college football for lomger than B & B have been together. That leaves me needing some help with my predictions.

I like Harry so far though.

I would have traded out or taken AJ Brown or Dalton Risner, but I also have no complaints about the Harry pick.

After 24 hours I’m rolling with Harry! I think we will see a wr run early on round 2. Nice to get our pick of the litter.

Patriots up again. Who would be your pick? I already said Smith, so this time I’ll say Adderley

Jaylon Ferguson with our 3rd but I'm fine with Chase Winovich too.

So far I have been very satisfied with the draft strategy and the names. Harry and Winovich are my favourite picks. Williams will bolster our strong secondary and Cajuste is gonna be a rotational player year first and I believe in the future Scarnechia will make him a good starter. Maybe Harris is a bit discussing but along with Michel,White and Burk we have got a very competitive RB corp. Day 3 let's keep rolling and grab a S,DL and TE.

Would’ve, could’ve, should’ve. Don’t see the point of this thread. There is plenty of that in the Day 1 and 2 threads already.
