Fair enough, but Damien Harris isn't exactly an obscure player. If people want to complain, they should be informed on what they're complaining about.
Agreed. I think a lot are playing catch up, not into the draft & getting their opinions elsewhere instead of doing the work themselves. Nothing wrong w that but like you said its tough to take them seriously.

Bingo. Constructive criticism is fine when it’s educated. But when it’s someone merely using the rankings of some draft website to compare and contrast who is picked vs. who is available..well...

Something tells me Bill and the staff have put a little more thoughtfulness into their draft decisions than that.

Loved picking Harry and Winovich. The only pick I wonder about is JoeJuan Williams. Not entirely convinced it was the right pick given the trade up. But Belichick thought highly enough to make that move and according to Rappaport was going to select him at 32 if not Harry. So he clearly likes him. Good enough for me.

Worth pointing out Chase just turned 24 making him one of the oldest prospects in this draft. That's why he stuck around so long. His play really has no where to go. On the upside you know exactly what you're getting.

Are you honestly saying that he won't be able to improve?

Yeah, hard pass on Renfrow. I get that guys are more than the sum of their measurables sometimes, but you have to excel at something. He does not have a single standout measurable quality for an NFL WR.

Edleman was a college QB. Far cry from what he is now. Guys like Renfrow are exactly what are needed. Always showed up in the big games as well.

DK said what took you so long & walkes in shirtless to their interview lol

I gotta laugh when people go nuts because we haven’t drafted a replacement for Gronk.

Gronk only became a huge part of our offense because he was Gronk.

Newsflash, he’s not walking through that door, and if he does he’ll be carrying two chicks and a margarita.

You can’t simply replace the GOAT TE that easily. Belichick will find a different focal point for the offense based on the value that is available. Right now RB’s are cheap and we have a great group. Belichick is a chameleon who finds a way to win based on what is undervalued.

These video game offenses all started because Belichick found an inefficiency in the market and stole Randy Moss. Everyone copied him and now he’s finding a different path that everyone has forgotten about. When they copy him again, he’ll change again. It’s what he does.

His 35 in vertical isn't bad.
He's got a 6.8 3-cone which is very good.
His shuttle is decent at 4.19.

His 40 yard dash was 0.06 seconds different than Edelman.

What did Edelman "excel" at in terms of being a WR coming out of college?

And yes, this puts Renfrow in the 7th/UDFA category for me..

Pats have 6.55m in cap space before signing their rookies. Rudolph makes 7.275m, so they would have to tear up his contract for him to even be able to sign with the Patriots.

But I've seen weirder things happen.

Day 3 is gonna be interesting!

According to Miguel, they have 13.5 mil in cap space.

Well he just wrote down I'm I was thinking when I finally saw what happened on the 2nd day.

It's a marvel that they do so well. They had their pick of any of the 3 TE's that we've all talked about the past 2 months, ANY of whom we'd have been happy with and INSTEAD (and I'm trying to keep it together here) we took a RB we had ZERO NEED FOR, and a OT who while looks like a decent player but was a pure luxury pick that was taken instead of a OBVIOUS desperate need.

THIS is why I hate the draft and hate that once again I was snookered into following it again. It is simply a horrible, frustrating, and exhausting exercise that I regret EVERY year.

Somehow I guess they will continue to build this team over the next few month and will cobble together a team that will be competitive and fun to watch once the season gets here.

But the fact remains that EVERY one of our division rivals improved their teams significantly and it will be hard and hard to overcome the talent discrepancies that continue to grow among our major rivals. Fortunately football is a unique game where the most talent doesn't always win. We saw that clearly this playoff season where the least elite talent won the championship. But that gap seems to be growing and winning will get harder and harder, and this draft didn't do anything in my mind to help that impression.

So tell me again why we didn't draft a TE in the 3rd round, because we needed another RB I never heard of prior to his name being mentioned as our pick, instead of great TE prospects we've talked about for 3 months.

I'm going to need a pill to get to sleep tonight.

So you're totally confident that Michel won't blow out his knee again and that Burkhead will be available for more than four games? Cause I'm not. And how is OT a luxury pick when we have only two and one of them is coming off a serious injury and has never been tried?

You see every division rival improved their team, I'd say the Patriots did too. This is a nice influx of young talent.

There’s no way they will make three 4th round picks tomorrow. Maybe one 4th round pick. The others will be traded for 5ths, 6ths, and three more 7ths.
He'll trade one of them, maybe for a 5th and a 2020 5th

Where'd you get that 6.55M number from? Miguel has us at 13.13M..

The Pats have 2 who have taken snaps (Croston and Cannon) and one highly touted 2nd year player in Wynn. They also added Lang and Ryker Matthews though both are probably more Camp Fodder/PS guys..

We'll probably never get another Gronk but I seem to remember winning super bowls before we had Gronk.

People said we'd never have another Ben Coates.. I'd say that Gronk surpassed Coates.. And we can't forget Russ Francis..

However, it's more a generational thing.. Probably won't have another great TE for 10-20 years..
