@MikeGiardi

#Patriots tab Chase Winovich at 77. The DE was a third team All-American this past season, recording 17 tackles for loss, 5 sacks. The motor never stops running on this kid. Had a 6.94 three-cone which is outrageous for a man around 260 pounds.

Will be an OLB...And a good one.

Love this pick, great value for a mid third.

Winovich graded out at 8.14 (2nd) so I think we got great value here.

Very smart player. Run/pass rush. Always has a plan. A counter. Always talking.
Great hands. Great placement. Usually always accurate & active. Vg at using whats given & making it work. He's like tornado out there. Finesse rusher that always looks to clear his man hands. Swipes, club/rip, forklift, cross face.
Understands & does a great job at using his length. Isn't shy & brings the fight to the OL whether it's setting the edge or taking on a puller. Loves the game. Loves flying around & hitting people.

Smart, tough, relentless player. Def PTP.

Big shots like him.

Here's my conspiracy theory, but there's something about guys with V's in their name that can play linebacker that no one else sees except BB:
Vrabel
NinkoVich
Van Noy
and now WinoVich...

...it also doesn't hurt that his name begins with Win.

Coincidence...I think not.

LOL, I like it!

Love this pick. Vrabel and Ninkovich are two of my all-time favorite Patriots, so this guy has an inside track. If they issue him #50, it might be a done deal!

Looks like a versatile player - linebacker, DE, STer, and even has a little TE experience - all in the Ninkovich/Vrabel tradition. Maybe he’ll get to wear old number 50.

I mean, didn't the rest of the league NOT see this kid has Patriots written all over him?

Look, the draft is always a crapshoot BUT...if this kid projects like he should...wow. Energy, personality, skill...how did we get so lucky?

I like the pick. Can’t go wrong with high motor guys.

So his only major weakness is a lack of power right? I think this was a great value pick. Winovich was more productive than Rashan Gary (though supposedly Gary took more double-teams) and we got him in the 3rd.
