Pats trade back again!

After trading their second pick in Friday’s second round of the NFL Draft, the Pats dealt their first third-round pick at No. 73 overall and sixth-rounder at No. 205 to the Chicago Bears to move back 14 spots and add a 2019 fifth-round pick, plus a 2020 fourth-round selection.

The terms were first reported by ESPN’s Field Yates.

Sternberger gone now!

Like Winovich's demeanour and effort.

Really good pick. A lot of people had him as a mid 2nd rounder. Bill is killing it.
Incredible 3 cone for somebody his size. 6.94

A real pick

And faster than out wide receiver and cornerback picks:D

Man. I really wanted McLaurin.

They could have used some to get Lawrence. They could have used some to get Isabella. Instead, they went out and got a 23rd CB for the 90 man roster and a WR who's had problems getting free from coverage at the college level.

No offense to the two players, who may work out wonderfully and who I'm not judging as prospects, but I'm hating this draft right now. If I were watching it on TV, I'd probably have thrown something through the screen by now.

And, Rochrist, I don't give a **** if you disagree.
There's a difference in the way that we, fans, view players, and the way that teams see the fit of players in an NFL Offense. JoeJuan Williams has a distinct role on the team, and a very important one.

We don't defend TEs well. We often let up TDs to TEs, and more so than CBs, it is the TEs that provide a struggle. Patrick Chung and J.C Jackson WILL have trouble defending people half a foot taller than them. JoeJuan gives us a good chance at covering these players. There is likely a very specific role in mind - one that none of our current players can provide (do we have a CB taller than 6'2"?).

Andy Isabella was a player I liked. But let's be honest, if Bill didn't see it in a UMass guy, then it doesn't matter what we think. Is Isabella just very fast, or does he have the physical "juke you out" and "get dirty" mentality that Edelman has. Is he a significant improvement over a Braxton Berrios who I'm sure has improved from last year and has a year of experience in this team?

Oh shoot, I forgot to upload the Draft Bingo card I made.

Some year in the future, like around 2025, the Patriots will own every pick in the first 3 rounds after trading down over the years.

Chase Stinkovich?

F*cking love it!

What a God damn amazing deal.

Agreed. If BB keeps doing deals like that, extrapolating it out, the Patriots will hold every pick of the 3rd and 4th rounds by the 2026 draft.
