NFL Draft: Day 2

I'd like Zach Allen Jace Sternberger in Round 2 but I'm bracing for a WTF pick.
I had forgotten about the legendary WTF second rnd pick.

For what it's worth now, my guy who knows a guy who knows a guy, etc ....
is telling me today QB Jones was a prime target of the Pats until the G Men decided to screw up the natural order of the universe.
The question remains how aggressive NE would have been if Jones was available later in the 1st.
Sucks to be #32 every year ........but only in April

So much talent available tomorrow. So lucky to have so many picks.

Given how the Pats work the compensatory pick system, I suspect that luck has very little to do with it! ;)

Go Pats!

at 56, I would like Zach Allen, Dremont Jones/ Mack Wilson
at 64, Jace Sternberger or Yodney Cajuste
at 73, Andy Isabella or D'Andre Walker

still plenty of good playiers days 2 and we have still plenty of picks

let's go to work...

We drafted Jimmy G 5 years ago in the second round and everyone was impressed. Can we do it again?

Don't think Jimmy G is draft eligible.

Picks for the Patriots I would like to see (not counting on a trade up atm) today

S Amani Hooker
CB David Long
CB JoeJuan Williams
DL Zach Allen
DT Khalen Saunders
DE Chase Winovich
DE Anthony Nelson
TE Irv Smith
TE Josh Oliver
TE Jace Sternberger
OT Chuma Edoga
OT Max Scharping
QB Will Grier
WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside
WR Andy Isabella
WR Diontae Johnson

I hope we come away with another receiving weapon, OT, DL and DB today.

1.There are four interesting TEs if you discount Irv: Sternberger/Oliver/Warring/Knox although I also like Sample.

2.I’m hoping for a speedier WR tomorrow. McLaurin is my guy but Isabella and Hardman count too. I wouldn’t entirely discount the upside of Boykin, or the safe hands of Diontae Johnson or Stanley Morgan/Cody Thompson (day 3)
3. On defense, Joejuan Williams,Juan Thornhill, Khalen Saunders, Anthony Nelson, Zach Allen are all amongst my favourites

4. And then there’s OL. Got to think Dalton Risner goes early tomorrow but there’s still Cody Ford, Greg Little and Juwuan James so who knows. Might be the option at 56.

Lots of possibilities.
Take a look at Foster Moreau of LSU Superb blocker but most do not know he led LSU in receptions.

NFL Draft Scout's Rob Rang lists LSU TE Foster Moreau as his favorite tight end in the class that won't be draft in the first round.
Rang notes that there are players like Josh Oliver and Dawson Knox who will likely go higher and offer more "fantasy value," but also notes that their blocking leaves a lot to be desired. "I don’t worry about his relatively meager career statistics (52 catches for 629 yards and six touchdowns) because his tape and subsequent workouts prove he has the speed to leave linebackers in his dust, the leaping ability and strength to overwhelm defensive backs, as well as the hands to pluck passes outside of his frame," Rang writes about Moreau. This is not a future star at the position, bot Moreau's ability to do a little bit of everything makes him a very intriguing option on Day 3.

Could be a steal

Have to think tonight we'd try and get an O Tackle, TE and address the D Line. Might even double dip on the WR

-- I think it's necessary to add an offensive tackle today. It might even be their biggest need. They have NO ONE behind Wynn/Cannon.

-- Still think Joejuan Williams or Jahlani Tavai are in play today.

-- Top talent is gone, but good value exists at DE/DT.

Also a Chung or DMc carbon copy.

Moreau ran really well at the combine look good in drills too I am not opposed.

MUST get an OT with upside. Other than that, I'd definitely like TE, QB, DT, DE, S, probably in that order. Or high upside guys at any position. But this OT situation needs to get fixed.
