Get rid of Wayne and put Orr up there and it would be accurate.
Well there's certainly an argument.. I didn't make it though, I just liked it and added the border and legendary

Fun fact: Bobby Orr and I share the same birthday - March 20th

I see a bigger faster Anquan Boldin. I see him in the slot also. The Pats have the potential for the biggest WR corp in the nfl. Thomas, Gordon and now Harry are all 6-3 225 lbs,

Bingo. Thought it was just me projecting but that is exactly who I thought of when I saw the clips of him making plays. Hope he can be as productive.

Fitz is an intriguing one. I was going to suggest someone by the name of Michael Irvin, without the drama issues

.

Glad the Pats finally drafted a tall wide receiver.

The more catches I watch in highlights, the more this seems like an even bigger draft steal than Michel. Now, if he can survive camp and pre season.

I have a feeling they double dip at WR in round 3 or 4 today ala drafting 2 TEs high in 2010 ( 2nd and 4th)
That worked out well until one of them turned out to be a ....never mind...

Like that compare too along with the Anquan Boldin, though Boldin is only 6'1" where as this guy is 6'3". Time will tell but if he turns into any of Fitzgerald/Boldin/Irvin from a talent ball catching perspective this will have been a home run pick. Doesn't hurt to have the GOAT throwing the ball to him either for the next season or two as he develops. My guess is TB12 will be very happy with this pick.

Been watching Harry since he was FO. Came into college w a ton of hype. Definitely a PTP. WR3 for me. Grades are in my thread.

Some thoughts from my thread
Harry

Size, strength & length. Understands strengths & what he does well. Fantastic 50/50 player. Understands it's his job to make it work on those types of plays. Can track, adjust, go up & get it. Toe tap & work sidelines. + Concentration throughout catch, focus & body control. Hands catcher but just gets it done. Get job at adjusting on under thrown, off throws, defenders drapped on him.

Vg stalk blocker. Very impressive. He'll move u. Likes getting dirty. Not afraid of contact. Knows how to play physical, w hands, gives as good as he gets.

Used bull/snatch to get open. Swim. Get physical at the line! Good job at using his hands at Los.

350 Oregon uses double swipe to get open. Slant, takes big hit & being slowed down by a DB. Shakes it off for 30+.

TX Tech double swipe, swim back shoulder. Vintage Harry. That's what u get in him. Held almost whole time.

Bunch formation freed up but good example of what he can do in the slot/inside.

Takes a min to get going.

Has to work on release. False steps, wasted motion don't help when he isn't lightening quick.

Team has to stop gadget plays. Outside/Inside. Slants, crossers more often.

At times Stance is high when he's not getting the ball. Low when targeted. TX TECH GM.

Might never be a dominant #1, who knows, who cares. He's an impact player. Once he gets around legit NFL talent look out!

At times ASU did him no favors. Used him in a lot of gimmicky situations. You understand bc he was there best player but I don't expect that in the league. Physical X/Big Slot that is pretty refined as a r/r. Good job at using his hands w/out getting flagged. + ability to catch/play through contact.
Good job at using leverage. Always makes himself as big a target as he can. Very comfortable in tight spaces. Very passionate, fearless player.
Easily one of the better 50/50 prospects I've seen in a while.

Has to work or comes to terms w releasing off the line. Too many false steps but again this is when he tries to do a lil too much. Really a straight foward player in terms of who he is, what his strengths are etc. No fancy stuff.
Besides that I'd really like to see him work on getting lower when coming in/out of his breaks. Get a lil lower & try to tighten that up.

I'm just glad the Patriots drafted a receiver who looks like a badass, instead of taking the #2 receiver from a Conference USA team in the 2nd round who shockingly turns out to be worthless.

Edelman likes this. That means that the downfield blocking on those screens should be relatively stout.

Perfect underwhelming ending of an underwhelming Draft night.
And perfect continuation of an underwhelming receivers offseason.

Feels like McD took over already..

Here's BB's reaction on the pick (after he couldn't get value to trade out)

I think there's a good chance you'll look stupid on this take.

Great pick.

One thing I’ve learned being a member here for a long time is that none of our members are qualified to truly evaluate draft picks including myself

We have a few wanna be analysts though. Guess they must watch NCAA film all year and have NFL LEVEL experience evaluating prospects!

So I’ll just say I’m very excited to see how this pick turns out. I’m very positive because I know I’m not qualified to assess this pick at a professional level.

I think there's more to it than even that. None of us get to sit down and talk to the player. BB has said it straight out: he only wants to coach players he likes.

He also wants players who LOVE playing the game.

Every year our top pick gets injured
