Tyreek Hill Investigation

I did not see the later post and I don’t do much social media except on here so spotting a troll is not one of my strong suits

No worries. I'm not trying to bag on you. I just know how that site works. It's a hell of a lot more free wheeling than what we have here. That place is Paddy's Irish Pub, while this place is becoming more and more like Lord Fauntleroy Smythe's wine, cheese, and chess club.

Here's that later comment, just for verification:

No charges filed against Hill. It would be very difficult for the NFL to levy any serious penalty on Hill with that result. He might get a fine or maybe at most a 2 game suspension, which of course will be contested by his lawyer and likely overturned at which point the NFL office might question why even try to hand out a suspension.

He's likely done for at least the season, if not permanently. See Rice, Ray and Elliot, Ezekiel for examples of why.

I am so far behind on this stuff because I have no idea what that post evens refers to. I don’t even know what TWF means haha

I agree with you on this. Besides threatening the women he previously beat. The words of “Daddy hits me” and the child having a broken arm is the end of Hill’s career. They stated that more audio is coming tomorrow. Not sure if that is true or not

Holy crap this is bad. I mean, it’s not a smoking gun like being more probable than not at least generally aware of a possible 0.15 lbs of PSI missing from a football, but it’s bad nonetheless.

I can’t decide who I want dead more: Hill or the hill of dogsht who calls himself a prosecutor.

This guy needs to be in jail...there’s a special wing for child abusers.

The guy has his GF cover up all his beatings and then demands justice when someone pours beer on him when he idiotically jumps into the crowd.

Please remove this pos from the gene pool and cut off oxygen rations.

Too bad it all blew up in Andy Reid’s face. What a stand up guy.

This team is circling the toilet drain and are fast approaching the event horizon.

If the NFL does nothing and Hill hauls off and kills or maims someone, there will be some hell to pay. I'm sure they're thinking about that right now. IOW I hope their sense of self-preservation will prevail, since common sense never will.

Thanks for the historical context...no I wasn’t referring to you as making fun of me. It was more of an eye roll from a few people. I did a year of law school, so I’m not an expert but was logical enough to pass the LSAT, and the idea of protecting the accused from taking the stand against self-incrimination has always bothered me. I man, what if the person is guilty after all? They’re needing to account for questions, not being rack tortured.

This makes sense as to why the law came into being. So do you think the US a defendant should be compelled to testify in courtroom if they are accused of a crime, now that we are no longer living in the same historical era.

I was just in Prague...visited the Museum of Communism, and there was a lot of space dedicated to the purges of 1948-1953, where people were "compelled" behind closed doors to cooperate with the kangaroo trial, self-incriminated in public in an orderly setting, and were either executed or sent to do hard labor. This was a pattern of legal process across the communist world within the last 50-60 years.

Fortunately, there isn't a nationwide problem or government directive to carry out this kind of activity (is this in the offing though?), but it could very possibly happen at the local level.

The fifth amendment is as valuable a tool to prevent government abuse as any of the other amendments.

Ben Rapistberger got suspensions even without being charged.

Roger has no choice, needs to either banish him from the league or give him a record breaking suspension.. the NFL has f.. ed up so many times with their kangaroo court of justice they need to get it right this time or the vitriol of the public and press will be overwhelming..

The release of the audio yesterday pretty much leaves him no choice. KC has suspended him from all offseason activities until further notice. If they had any integrity (#Integrity, for those keeping score) the Chiefs would cut him like they did with Kareem Hunt.

He should be banished forever. Plus this kills KC. Just double Kelce...and they're finished

Even with all their weapons, an arguably flawed NE team dispatched them last year... they are nothing. Kelce is nothing.

I hear this was actually between his wife and her friend who may have released the audio to TMZ.
Some crazy stuff going on at that house.

How dumb is his wife for sharing the audio and expecting it not to get leaked? She just cost herself tens of millions. Possibly like, 50m guaranteed on his next deal.

I feel kinda bad for Mahomes, who may be a special player, and is watching his team implode spectacularly.

I dunna know. Quick glance at Chiefs Planet this am is it seems the consensus is to suspend him and try to trade him outside the conference. If no takers release him.

There's a poll at the top of the page where 40% say the Chiefs should keep him. They are desperate to win a super bowl lol.
