He scored quite a bit higher on the Wonderlic than Brown and Metcalf. I’ve said for years their reluctance to draft WRs is the fear they won’t grasp the playbook. Not surprising he a very high score among others players with that athleticism. Better chance - though no certainty - that he’ll catch on.
Some of his sharp cuts and moves remind me of our own #11 (... not Bledsoe ...)Anybody else see Larry Fitzgerald when watching tape on Nkeal Harry?
From the same guy a couple weeks back:
Basically, *for his size* Harry has notable burst and speed. To whatever extent people will remark that he isn't especially fast, it's because guys as big as him rarely are. The criticism at that point basically becomes "he's not Julio Jones", which makes sense because if he was he wouldn't be available at 32 in the first place.
The Patriots certainly like his three cone time and his rising to the challenge on the biggest stages.Wouldn’t mind nabbing Hunter Renfrow also.
They have 11 more picks. They might not be done drafting receivers.
No. He reminds me more of Larry Fitzgerald without being the natural strider that Fitzgerald was coming out of college. But watch him go up for contested balls (which he had to do quite a bit - my one concern about him at the next level), and you’ll see a lot of Fitz in him.Does he remind anyone else of Stevie Johnson?
All better value picks imo, even Jones who i dont care about but he is a QB and even average QBs are commodity (as pats fans should know). Ferrell remains to be seen but position has value..
Watch some film on Dax Raymond out of Utah State. He’s probably my favorite day 2/3 TE prospect. They'll probably add a rookie pass-catching TE to the crowd of veterans on the current roster. It's too bad that a couple of the better TEs were gone, but in some ways I like this pick at #1 since it gives them a young wide receiver for several years rather than the parade of veterans with issues we've seen rotate through here.
