Pats re-sign Josh Gordon

State directly the matter on which BB is wrong. You might be right.

Counting on Gordon to be there for his team for only half the season.

He couldn't even make it two months before he was doing things detrimental to his health and team.

Far as I can tell, hes only played in 4 seasons and didnt finish two of them.

So I'm the ******* because I think it's a trend we can count on instead of living innate fantasy world where everything is peaches and cream
Who even knows what Gordon is mixed up in.

A change in zip codes didn't help.

Evedently Gordon is involved in fashion and crap like that.

I was unaware he played in 17.

Yes. And the reason he didn't play week 16 in 2014 was a team decision (Browns suspended him for one game for missing a walk through) rather than a league suspension. So, in 4 of his 5 playing seasons, he's been available to play the final game of the season at the discretion of the team. Last year was the first time that was not the case.

So, historically speaking, if you can just get him on the field, you've got a real shot at having him there at the end.

Remember, BB had people monitoring Gordon and Gordon outfoxed them sending the posse in the wrong direction.

Gordon made a concerted effort to screw up the opportunity to play in his very first playoff game and the possibility of a super bowl.

Football is not important to Gordon. Gordon is important to Gordon.

Brady is going to have plenty of people to throw to in the Super Bowl.

They DIDN'T "sign" him. All he did was sign the tender that was given to him months ago. What it DOES mean, at least to me, is that there IS a pathway for him to play this season. I'm not sure what exactly it is though. But we will soon find out. Otherwise why do it.

They DID. Technically that is what his signing RFA tender means. Its always reported this way. Before this he was not on the team. Now Pats have another receiver on the roster (upon reinstatement that is which is very likely beofre TC as reported multiple times previously). Doesn't guarantee he'll be on 53 of course - but he is officially under Pats contract - and 2M investment is nothing to sneeze at - esp. considering history..

The thread makes it seem like they signed him to a new longterm deal.

Him just signing the tender isn't newsworthy.

1. It doesn't.
2. It is.

Is it at all possible that the Pats knew or Gordon or his people knew the suspension was coming down the pike...so they signed him knowing they'd only get 9, 10 games put of him...with all eyes toward 2019....just a thought

At least 1-2 of those guys will be cut or put on the PS.

If the ifs come to fruition watch out.

Some team is probably going to have to play us with Jules, Gordon, and Thomas on the field at the same time. Hopefully more than one.
I’ll take three games, all in the post season.

Cautiously optimistic on Gordon this year. I thought he would have had his life in order last year, but no one truly knows how many problems a person may have. Hope his personal issues are handled first before he puts on a NE Patriots helmet.

First & Foremost, I hope he gets his life straightened out. "If" that happens, he will be a nightmare for opposing OCs as we got a dose of seeing last season providing he gets reinstated of course. At this point we can just say he will be an addition to what receivers we will have and not count on him as our No 1 Go To Guy. I'll just look at it this as glass half full as opposed to half empty.

There are no statistics about future events.

I love getting my philosophy and language lessons from Patsfans!

Statistically, it is 100% certain that future events will happen, and 100% certain that nothing else will.

Love it. I'll never be upset with the Pats signing a player who has the ability/potential to be the best in the league at their position.

Title seems wrong. All that happened was Josh signed the tender.

Who knows if he's playing this year anyway.

Yep

They clearly like him as a person, and want him to get his sh.t together. Hopefully he gets at least 10 games in and can make it through a playoff run

That said double dip at WR.

He wont finish the season, statistically we know this.

Hes good for depth. Gotta keep the posistion in mind though.
If you roll ten sixes in a row, do we then know that the next roll will be a six?
