Patriots scouts apparently like Duke QB Daniel Jones.

Are we still in the mix for Touchdown Johnny Manziel??

Stidham would be another Tannehill if he goes to Miami

The Pats would be crazy (and we know they aren't), if they really want a guy that may or may not fall to them, not to express BIG interest in lots of other guys who may or may not fall to them, in order to confuse their opponents. Not only does this make it as likely as possible that the guy they really want falls to them, but they also might be able to get their opponents to take guys they don't need, or that aren't that great to begin with, thus wasting their own precious draft picks.

This must be the time of year when BB and Ernie Adams sit behind closed doors throwing out bogus rumors and snickering at the likes of John Gruden, Mike Mayock and Adam Gase...

Unless Murray falls, I don’t see it. But I’m not a fan of the QB class in general this year outside of him. Next year will probably be the year for a QB. Much stronger class.
If Murray falls to us, he falls past us.

He isn’t falling to us regardless. There’s no way he’s dropping to the last pick in the first round. But he’s head and shoulders the best QB on this class. I could easily see the Patriots being interested in him.

I think the pats are blowing smoke with Jones. They will make some schmuck team take him early.

WR, S and TE are bigger needs.

The Patriots are tugging this meme for shade.

remember where you heard it. Murray will struggle to get to a max of 25 nfl wins.
He is just too small to be an nfl qb.

So how do you explain Russell Wilson?
Drew Brees??

Never forget the convo I had w a former player about height/QB height. Most would be surprised to find out that it doesnt matter if your 5'10 or 6'4. No matter your height you can't see over the OL/DL. Its the mobility, pocket presence & footwork that allow lanes & windows to open up.

I remember saying it a few months ago too. Not sure how much it matters after a certain point.

why cant the Pats leak that they have major interest in some under the radar slot corner?

So how do you explain Russell Wilson?
He’s bigger, stronger and better.
Wilson is also an exception. The smallest good player isn’t proof that size means nothing.

The height isn’t the main concern. The beating he will take and being to small to take it is the real problem.

Only if Belichick is letting McDaniels pick the QBOTF because he plans to retire soon. If you look back over what Belichick has said in the past, it sounds like he has absolutely no interest in trying to figure out how to make an undersized QB that runs 10 times a game viable in the modern NFL.

I guess this is fun?? Or just generates enough interest to look up every prospect that the Pats have had for visits and shown special interest in, then moments later I forget his name and why the Pats allegedly loved that guy.

Meanwhile from the bowels of Gillette under the direction of BB, Ernie and McDaniels they are directing their minions to scour the country looking for that next great find.. INOW we have no f...ing idea as to what they are thinking and who they really like.

Meanwhile on the left coast Gruden/Mayock are concocting interest regarding their secret/surprise pick that will completely divert attention from the actual draft as the pundits be interviewed and they will tell us how brilliant Gruden/Mayock are and how this is the foundation for really great things for the Raiders..

He looks pretty good and hits most of the check marks but I am just not sure he will have the same level of success as Tom Brady.

He's worth taking in the 2nd round but he won't fall until then. I think he can be really good but he needs to sit for a year to build arm strength and work on his anticipation. If he gets drafted to a team where he starts immediately he'd get eaten alive.

I think it's possible the Patriots are interested in Daniel Jones but given his weirdly rising stock I don't think he makes it there. I'd be pretty upset if we traded up to pick him.

99% of the QBs will fall short if you compare them to Brady...
