Care to share names you're going to be watching for at picks #243, 246 & 252? In B.C.G.'s thread @manxman2601 made the case for Illinois IOL Nick Allegretti:

Team captain for 2 years
  • 42 on the wonderlic so v smart
  • A wrestling background
  • Can play all three interior line positions
  • Met with the Patriots
  • Apparently killed it at the Shrine Game
  • Same school as Ted Karras
And I tossed out Lehigh RB Dom Bragalone:

DII All-American, 4-year All Patriot League, team captain with a heck of a power athletic profile. Just for fun, compare his measurables to Josh Jacobs:

Who else should I keep an eye out for, to maximize the total draft heartbreak experience? :)

Josh Reynolds, OG, Iowa. 35.5” vert, 7.29 3-cone. Stunning numbers for an interior offensive lineman. And the right school too.

Like etling, I like Easton stick as a late round developmental qb. (If we don’t take a qb prior)

Bryce Love if he slips due to injury should get some consideration as well.

BB likes his brothers so I wouldn’t rule out Daniel Wise. I mean, if you’re looking for patterns: The Hollisters, McCourtys, Gronk’s and Vereens. Four sets of brothers in the last decade.

So maybe WR Jazz Ferguson?:)

We might draft his brother DE Jaylon earlier in the draft.

To me there's almost no difference between a 5th & UDFA so I'll throw out some names & add after work.

QB Nathan Rourke (One of the nicest prospects Ive ever talked w. Addicted to film)

RB Kerrith Whyte everyone talks abt Singletary & rightfully so but this kid is electric.

Me this morning, thinking to myself: "I'm going to create a 7th - UDFA thread."

@patchick: "Too slow, noob."

Speaking of UDFa’s, what happened to your safety from a couple of years ago. David Jones wasn’t it?

Shhhhhhhhhhh. I whiffed on that one.

Jason Thompson:

6014
210
4.44
20 reps
39.5 vert
1101 broad jump
4.01
6.57

What a prospect. Still floating around the league, but no regular season snaps.

I still remember, with shame, my love for Marcus Hardison. And there was a big fattie from East Carolina who’s name escapes me.

Easton Stick caught my eye as well. And his 3 cone time is only .03 second off from Edelman's despite Stick being 3" taller and 25# heavier. Who knows, If he doesn't stick as a QB (no pun intended) he may be useful elsewhere.

Exactly.

Will Harris- S- BC
Sean Williams- S- Navy
Bryce Love- RB- Stanford (likely goes earlier)
Gary Jennings- WR- WVU (likely goes earlier)
Isaac Nauta- TE- UGA (likely goes earlier)

The only player BB has drafted from Iowa was Mike Elgin, in 2007, which doesn't technically count.

I don’t really consider a year where we have 4 late 7th round picks as drafting. We’re getting a leg up on UDFA as I see it. But I take your point.

Having 4 late round picks is tantamount to not having to recruit UDFA talent. You get to pick them yourself. I guy I recently read about that was intriguing was Princeton WR Jesper Horstad. A 6'3 WR who ran a 4.5

Where did you see that he ran a 4.5? His Pro-Day 40 was supposedly a 4.77 according to the RAS tool and a 4.71 according to one article. And he didn't run the Shuttle or 3 Cone because he pulled his hamstring with about 6 yards left on his 40.. Not to mention only a 32" vertical.
