What Can the Patriots Realistically Expect From Demaryius Thomas?

Steve Balestrieri

Thomas had five straight 1000 yard seasons between 2012-2016 but has had his numbers dropping off for the past several years.

Gentlemen, TB12 can rebuild him. They have the technology. Demaryius Thomas will be better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster. He will earn every single incentive and become the 6 million dollar reciever.

Realustically expect that he will show up with the passion that has made him what he is ... beyond that is a bonus.
A soft receiver with hoof hands?

Before last season DT was always one of the 10 best WRs in the league. While he's on the wrong side of 30 and is coming off a torn achilles, there is a small chance he could rediscover 80% of his former best form, which would be a great addition to our team. If he fails to make any impact then it's only one year anyways, no harm done.

First of all to be healthy then survive a training camp.I believe fully recovered Thomas will provide easiness and space for the rest of the WRs especially for Edelman. He can't be ignored by any cornerbacs because of his ability of route running - I hope he could not forget how to do that after the injury. I do not expect production based on over 1000 yards but a few good catches in difficult moments of the game would be awesome.Regular playing is able to make him 2/3 receiver behind Edelman ( when Gordon is back his production kight decrease).

83 for 950 with 10 drops is top 10?

I think his ceiling is 2018 Chris Hogan production. His floor is he hangs it up in August ala Eric Decker.

Realistically, we can expect him to retire in training camp.

50 - 60 Catches, 700 -800 yards assuming the achilles is healed.

BB as Oscar Goldman? Definitely....

If/when healthy, he’ll do well here.

case and point: cordelle patterson

He'll be gone before the season begins

I expect him to play the last 6 games of the season and catch 20-30 balls for 300-450 yds and be a solid #3 WR for the playoffs. Gordon, Jules and Thomas.

Expecting Gordon to be there for the playoffs is a big ask.
