...Is Russell Wilson on his way out of Seattle?

One more thing to appreciate Brady about. We not only hit the lottery because he's the GOAT skillwise, was a major draft steal, but because he's a freak of nature willing to repeatedly sign a lesser $ market deal.
Probably the most underrated aspect of Brady's GOATness - his unselfishness in a league full of selfish players. The Pats run has been aided greatly by Brady's willingness to take less money.

Which started in 2013. After 9 years of no SBs 3 SBs in 6 years. Not coincidence.

I think you don't watch enough Seahawks games. Wilson has played behind awful OLs most of his career, and with mediocre receivers (as the team spent money on D only). He's also been incredibly consistent, with nearly 4,000 yards/year and a QB rating of just under 100 over seven years. Incredibly consistent...8-3 in the playoffs (more than 7 franchises), one amazing play from 9-2 and two rings. He has a higher winning % than Rodgers. He's missed the playoffs ONCE in 7 years.
.

Your post is valid. Will his supporting cast improve considering the salary cap?

Clearly not everyone shares your negative opinion of Breitbart. Your political perspective is evidently in play here and this forum is certainly not the place for that.

This has nothing to do with politics but with their anti scientific stances, lack of journalistic standards and general lack of nuance. Might as well use the Antifa or KKK newsletter.

Either way, finding people who defend this piece of garbage certainly helps adding them to the ignore list. Thanks for that. And goodbye.

It looks to me as though you're the one who turned to politics. I thought that the original post by @manxman2601 was in response to another poster about the amount of money being spent for Russell Wilson. Manx's post was about putting things into perspective by showing the money being donated to fix Notre Dame. The fact that it came from some media location that you didn't approve of is what turned it into politics for you, and conversely the thread.

Anyway, back to the topic.

I for one am a big fan of Wilson but I wouldn't spend that kind of money on the guy. Unfortunately, too many players judge their success by the dollar signs and not the titles. Luckily, we have a QB who sees things the right way.

whenever a thread for other QBs show up and people start questioning said QB, no matter who, only one thing comes to mind:

We're ****ed when TB12 retires

I mean, Rodgers isnt good enough, Wilson is not good enough

Poor future heir, dead even before arrival

That's why I never have, and never will understand the constant hand-wringing and obsession for finding the next guy while Tom is here. We should realize this thing is special (which doesn't even begin to describe it), and try to optimize our chances to win w/Brady, and not have one foot here, and one in the QB future. We should be optimizing our talent to win while Tom's still playing at a high level. Next guy be damned.

The greatest quarterback playing today according to the press is Rodgers and he only won one sb. Garrapolo got hurt in his first season as a starting qb. People need to wake up and just appreciate what we have in Brady. Sure we should develop a qb, but stop with this trade or release Brady because he is old garbage. He’s not asking to be the highest paid player in the league. Can’t undertstand some of the hate directed his way.

Wilson announced on Twitter that he’s got a deal. I suspect we’ll here details in the morning.

The definition of trying too hard to look cool. What a doofus.

Mahomes will come due soon - and his contract will dwarf Wilson's if he doesn't fall off a cliff.

Hell, the way it's going if Mahomes does fall off a cliff if he even comes close to sticking the landing his deal may still dwarf Wilson's. I never begrudge a player in any sport, never mind one with the injury risk and short average career length of the NFL, making as much as they can. That said, as a percentage of total cap space when we are looking at QB's approaching the 20% mark somethings gotta give.

*Ciara lawyers enters the room*

The post had nothing to do with politics, it just happened to be the first link I found on my twitter feed regarding that particular story.

One of the sad but seldom considered things about the folks that are on the extremes (left or right) is they are often incapable of understanding most reasonable and considered folks are found closer to the middle. I applaud your willingness to engage even while I doubt it will be fully understood.

Pretending to be half asleep was funny, it was like 9pm there when he made that video. Ciara was wide awake.
I'd be wide awake too if I just (vicariously) scored millions of dollars.

Too bad the patriots don’t return the favor by getting the old man some receiving weapons
