First half of the regular season was total domination. Second half had some close games but we always pulled it out in the end (sometimes with controversy such as @ Baltimore). Last regular season game was really a storybook ending. I might be misremembering but I think Brady's 50th, Moss' 23rd, and the 16-0 clinching TD all occurred on the same play.

And then the Super Bowl happened...

Nothing controversial to me about the Baltimore game. They should have never called a timeout, or at least let their assistant coaches do so. Then again, my hatred of the dirty Ratbirds may be clouding my judgement again

I'm with you there, but most of the country has an interest in disagreeing.

12 years later and i'm still blown away by how ridiculous that offense was.

Damn shame.

That ball traveled at least 76 yards in the air......

Was a ridiculous throw. But while some criticise Moss for not high-pointing it, I also want to point out how ridiculous Moss' speed was. You had the CB play 10 yards off. You had a Safety playing 20 yards off. And he easily outran them both. It's just too bad that he was already so far away from the LOS that Brady's ball was actually too short (I don't think there are a lot of guys that could have reached Moss so far down the field, the only QBs with the arm strength to lead Moss in that situation that I can think about are Favre and Cunningham).

This may sound strange, but I am actually more mad about the loss in 2011, then the one in 2007. I can sort of rationalize and understand why they lost in 2007. But 2011 was supposed to a big rematch and redemption story and all that, so I felt they really should have won (was close at least). But thats just me.

Yep and ran the ball more than they threw it.

Elway too. Mahomes has a cannon as well.

My recollection of the 2007 team is that the games got closer as the season went on. In the last regular season game the Giants went all out to stop the Pats even though they had nothing to gain. They were a wildcard team no matter what. I had a lot of respect for them for doing that and it probably helped them when they played the Pats in the SB.
Coughlin.
