<---- :p:p:p

But seriously, nah. They should immortalize this picture someway or another though. Jets fans will revere him but this picture...if I were a Jets fan I'd be humiliated.

I wouldn't mind as it would annoy jets fans.

It was nice of Revis to stop by for a cup of coffee, and he contributed and parlayed his season into one final rip off deal for the Jets, but I’ll never really think of him as a Patriot.

Glad that he was here for 2014, though.

This seems like Biffins is trolling the Moss PHOF thread. haha

Next thread?? Corey Dillon. :D

The difference is the other thread was from an article written by Mike Reiss for ESPN

Mike is on the Patriots HOF election committee:D

Even though I voted yes for Randy Moss, and I think Revis' one year on the team helped us win a SB, this one gets a no, mostly because of the disdain Revis showed for the Pats after the SB win. It became solely about the money and Revis himself. I'm glad he got his ring and I'm glad he fleeced the Jets. That's enough in my book.

This is quality off season content right here

Didn't Revis talk trash on twitter about Brady not being able to win his fourth super bowl without him? Then he said someone broke into his twitter account...he's just not the kind of person you would put in the Patriots HOF. He's more Jete HOF material.

The Revis story is the ultimate statement of Pats' brilliance and dominance, in contrast to Jests stupidity and futility. He's been the one and only superstar for their franchise in the 2000's, and took them for $MMM without any kind of winning track record. He comes to the Pats for a single season, gets a ring, then goes back to them and is overpaid with more $MM, and again, no winning.

So, of course he's not in the Pats' HOF. That's not even worthy of discussion. But this story should never be allowed to be forgotten, so finding some way to memorialize it is appropriate. Maybe a billboard near exit 16? "Jets Players, follow the Revis model: get overpaid by the Jests, and once you are a proven star, go to the Pats for a single year to get a ring."

I am sorry, I don't really care about Revis' comments after he left. He was good for the year he played here, and helped win the superbowl, but he wasn't that good. The Patriot HOF should be for long term players, or a player who came in and for a few years made a big difference, like OMG good. I would include Corey Dillon and Randy Moss in that category. Revis simply wasn't that good that year.

. . . I'm glad he fleeced the Jets.

Patriots Hall of Fame? Not a chance (but he did contribute one year, so I don't hate the guy - and seeing how it played out after 2014, why would you want the Pats paying the guy?).

But there must be something akin to a community service award for walking a Super Bowl ring with the Pats emblem on it to the Jets and getting them to eat a miserable $39 million dollar tab after proudly declaring they won him from the Patriots in free agency. The entertainment value alone for that transaction was legendary.

I thought Revis was good but not great in 2014. He played horribly against the Ravens (beat for TD, bad PI near end of 1st half and had the huge hold negating a Flacco sack/fumble) but was saved by a gutty and brilliant offensive performance. He did play well in the Super Bowl. Glad he was on the team and the fact the whole thing is another thorn in the Jets side makes me appreciate his time a little more. Zero chance he is a candidate.

How about the Hall of Shame?

Victor Kiam
Zeke Mowatt
Hart Lee Dykes
The Murderer
Albert Haynesworth
Steve Martin
Adalius Thomas (didnt live up to his salary)
Ocho? (He sucked but didnt do anything to disgrace the uniform)
Galloway?
Willie Anderson
Jonas Gray

Shout out from that group to Bob Kraft for embarrassing himself and the team with SpaGate and the disgraceful way he stood down to Goodell in Deflategate.

Revis has no business being associated with the Patriots HOF.

If you are going to put Revis in the Pats HoF you might as well put Gilmore in. Gilmore was better this season than Revis was in his.

Even Malcolm Butler has more of a case for a Patriots HOF nod than Revis.
