"Lost"
Perfect description of this wannabe septuagenarian hipster undergoing his latter-life crisis
It’s not about a late life crisis, it’s about dealing with loss. It says a lot about Myra

All I have is my opinion, like everyone else. We’ll find out if the police abused law the in the months to come. That’s the way it appears to me.

In my opinion, there is far too much “OMG!” going on over misdemeanor offenses. Let’s remember, what Kraft is accused of is the same offense as the other 30 guys got busted for.

The difference is he’s very wealthy. And I’m not a fan of people that have some inate disdain for wealthy people. I view them the same as I view everyone else. The Kraft family is incredibly giving and I’m ok (like absolutely, totally ok) with what he likely did.

IMHO the OMG factor is coming from just about all of the media. They don't know a lot of things but they're ready to have Kraft executed anyway.

Btw, I think @Joker is onto something concerning who's behind all of this. It's definitely getting too much play. I wonder if we'll ever find out the truth.

Combination of both maybe but no question she had a tremendous amount of influence over him.

What did Joker say? He and I are like-minded with this kind of conspiracy stuff

He basically stated that he thinks there's someone with deep pockets behind Kraft being singled out.

Hmmm. Plausible I guess. Not sure what the benefit would be?

I agree and let's face it a wealthy defendant gains an advantage over a poor defendant if that were not the case and that would be wrong - justice should be equal - even though we know it isn't always that way.

This is how it used to be...

I remember the first time I saw video cameras in a public place many years ago. It was in a square in England and it showed two young punks harassing an old lady and a 40 year old passer by that knocked one of them out with one punch. I cheered when I saw that punk go down.

I also saw a more recent one a couple of years ago at a school where a ******ed kid was being bullied by some other kid and the ******ed kid picked the kid up and threw him down after the punk threw a punch at him. I cheered then too. The bully got what he deserved.

Since my wife is into the current trend of shows about people being murdered, I've been able to see countless murders solved because the police were able to access videos.

If the police can find criminals in that way I'm in favor of it.

Obviously, you’ve thought this through.

yes, an extremely flawed one
It was to illustrate a point. If you say sunshine laws should be abolished based upon benign issues you have to look at the severe ones that would them be affected.

That’s one heck of a round hole, square peg even for you.

Gotta get some sleep.

Hope your back is getting better.

Peace.
Lol I’ll take that as you have no counter argument.

Dude..wtf. I just don't want to get into a back and forth for hours. We get into this debate for eternity. Now I know your stance on the Florida Sunshine laws and you know mine. The Report and a borderline pornographic video sure seem very different to me, and yes,I understand what you are trying to illustrate. You also stated earlier:

"And again my preference would be that the sunshine laws had an exception for the disgusting."

That's the same exact thing I'm saying.

I don't want to beat a dead horse AndyJohnson...I wished you well and said I hope your back feels better on a friendly note. I'm just not up for the intensity of this right now, or the constant bickering. I feel like often I try to find common ground, but no matter what I write, it becomes a counter point argument back trying to trap me into some contradiction. This is really pretty simple: I think Florida's Sunshine laws are absurd and don't agree with this level of privacy invasion/ public disclosure, guilty or not, for a non-violent misdemeanor. Go ahead and disagree. Clearly we wont change our minds on it.

Then you could have chosen to answer my question. If they blur out krafts junk are you ok?

I don’t understand how you can get upset when you ask for a law requiring open government to be tightened that it would create consequences, precedent and a slippery slope. That’s real life.

Florida's Sunshine Laws are an aberration, as are their increasingly aggressive surveillance tactics. Other states have been just fine without a bunch of extreme idiocy.

It's enough for them to post a video of Kraft about to remove his clothes and then a full body blur to make their point. No part of his naked body needs to be shown. Let's say a college girl at University of Florida gets drunk, runs down the street naked, and is picked up on security cameras with a fully frontal video. If she is also guilty of a misdemeanor, or accused of one, which parts of her body should be blurred and which should be public record? Kraft should receive the same standard. The jury/courtroom can watch the videos in full to determine guilt or innocence.

Stop being sensible and rational. It makes you appear wildly out of place in this endless, god-forsaken thread.
