Schefter Rumor: QB Josh Rosen “could be” traded?

If I were the Skins I wouldn't give up the #15 pick, but would be willing to give up a 2nd plus. The loss of Alex Smith does have them over a barrel so to speak, so their loony owner could force the issue and agree on sending their 1st. My guess is if a 1st goes, we could see some pick swapping to help water down the cost for the Skins. Maybe a 1st and 5th go, and Rosen and a 3rd come back, or some mixture along those lines. It just seems steep to pay up pick #15 for a guy who went 10th last year, and is no longer a part of the Cardinals future. Not to mention how Rosen looked last season.

Do you believe that Redskins would be better off with Haskins or Lock? My guess is that few would have strong objections to their analysis, if they we're to draft one of those two at 15. The objection is when they draft last year's #10 at $2M a year.

If the analysts are right, four teams are interested in Rosen. Obviously, that might not be so. The Redskins and the others will all decide. We'll see what the market brings.

I disagree on the last part, assuming they pick Murray. Not only would Rosen be a distraction the entire year, he'd be a descending asset as a back up.
No, IF Murray is the AZ pick, then Rosen will be dealt.

And because they HAVE to deal him, they won't get as much back as he's probably worth. Just as the comp for JG was less than he actually was worth because the Pats HAD to trade him, or watch him walk. Rosen can't walk but the situation of having him and Murray on the same team just isn't feasible in the real world.

Now you are right on Washington being an obvious choice. More in need of an immediate fix, and higher picks. So THEIR 2nd is worth more, as well as every other pick in every round. But stranger things have happened. their offer might not be THAT much better....if they make one at all. Maybe their happy with Keanum and McCoy for a season or two. Maybe they want to "wait until next year". Maybe AZ would rather take a BIT less from the Pats and get him out of the conference.

Of course maybe the Pats don't like Rosen, or maybe they think its still a year too early to use considerable draft capital on a QB, and THEY want to "wait until next year". Now THAT is a lot of "maybe's" Though Rosen is certainly a great off season talking point for us. ;)

Rosen is like the anti Brady in that he rubs everyone the wrong way. Combination of Jay Cutler and Ryan Leaf. Yeah. No thanks.

Bizarre people salivating over this cancer.

I have never heard anything describing him like that. Do you have any examples to link?

Hmmmmmm, I wonder why on earth anonymous executives would be saying things that drive Rosen's value down...
The comments were made AFTER the draft. So no, your point is negated.

Former UCLA football coach suggested his quarterback might be difficult for NFL teams because he's a millennial and needs to be challenged

"He needs to be challenged intellectually, so he doesn't get bored," Mora said. "He's a millennial. He wants to know why. Millennials, once they know why, they're good. Josh has a lot of interests in life. If you can hold his concentration level and focus only on football for a few years, he will set the world on fire. He has so much ability, and he's a really good kid."

Mora also said Rosen could be a "franchise-changer" and that he is sharp at diagnosing the game.

"He's a franchise-changer. He's got the ability to have an immediate impact. His arm talent, intelligence, and his ability to see the game and diagnose the game is rare. He'd come to the sidelines after a play, and it was uncanny — he could right away say exactly why he made every decision."

I can’t imagine that an NFL team will ever exist that has a head coaching brain and offensive system which will intellectually challenge Rosen, in order to allow him to reach his full potential. Seems like a fairy tale.....in the realm of unicorns and show ponies.

Much the same being said about Jerry Tillery.

Once here if Rosen needs intellectual stimulation he can take a philosophy class at Massasoit CC.

If he needs an intellectual challenge, coming to the most cerebral team in the NFL might be a very good thing for him.

Yes but his coach says he has many life interests. If football isn't his first passion and priority after his family he won't make it here

Maybe becuase Football has never been challenging for him I believe BB could fix that.

Possible. Some players skate by on talent alone and are never pushed on the mental aspect of the game.

Mora also said the browns should take Darnold, not Rosen at 1 overall. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for his own QB.
