He's in his 4th year, but has yet to play in an NFL game. Not even sure Dante can work his magic on this one.

Yeah! More big-name guys like Chad Jackson and Dominique Easley, not wacky unknowns like Sebastian Vollmer and Duron Harmon!

Oh yeah, about Cedrick Lang. An obvious long shot, but kind of an intriguing one since we don't know if they consider him a tackle or tight end. Here's an old article:

He was a 265 pound tight end three years ago, and a basketball player four years ago. It’s worth a shot.

Who knows. He had a leg injury last year to curtail his development at a new position. Maybe OT maybe TE. Maybe he comes through.

The draft couldn’t come sooner.

Minor risk, knows the NFL, up until first cut the roster has plenty of spots, Patriots' system is better than most to bring out improved play.
Let's see what this guy can do under a focused, winning, no BS coaching infrastructure. If he becomes a serviceable backup this is a win. If not then he is cut without ramification.

FWIW, he qualified as an ERFA this year, so he'd be an RFA next year.
