Terrence Brooks will primarily be a special teamer, as we would expect from our #4 safety. He's has a bit of experience. Apparently, he was the #3 safety for the jets, and impressed Belichick in a game against us a couple of years ago. McCourty has mad comments indicating that he liked the kid, and that he was a real safety. He appreciates having Brooks and Melifonwu as backups.

Obviously, Belichick will draft a developmental safety if the value is there. But, it may be that he is fine with only securing a low level free agent or a late draft pick to compete with Brooks and Melifonwu.

I don't want to see our defense at any point without elite Safeties.
Ive said it before we are not winning the Superbowl without Chung and Mccourty.
Who cares how good the d line is when you have a pair of Jordan Richards in the back end.
I'd be completely ok to double dip at safety in the early rounds.

So since I have a disagree people are ok with 2 Jordan Richards Calibur player protecting the deep field?
Amazing

Maybe the issue is with taking two safeties early in the draft, as that would be insane.

Wasn't Brooks a pretty decent/high potential safety with the Ravens before he tore his ACL? While I think it'd be best to not have any expectations on him it's not impossible to see him play some snaps at safety.

Well since Duron Harmon still exists, he would also need to get injured to have 2 Jordan Richards caliber players protecting the deep field.

I'm not against adding anyone that makes the team better and I'm not all about plugging the most glaring hole first with each draft pick. But I don't think the hypothetical injuries to our top 3 safeties is a bigger problem right now than T, WR, TE and DL.

A) every other safety isn’t Jordan Richards
B) we already have 3 starting caliber s
C) you got a disagree because you said you were ok with using 2 early picks on safety.

I don't necessarily agree it would be insane.
I think they could take a safety in the top 2-3 rounds of the draft, sure, but taking TWO when you have lots of money invested with McCourty, Chung, and Harmon would be insane—especially when there are glaring holes at TE, WR, DL, and possibly T.
