Kraft Orchids Case - Prosecuters Want a Tug Rule?

Kind of is.
This board is a hobby. And I use this board to get information and to have discussions about thinks being said that i don’t agree with.
I suppose I could use it to ignore the things I disagree with and gives likes to things I agree with and leave but I find the discussion interesting.

Ignore is sometimes a good thing. I agree, it's fun to debate someone who disagrees with you and is making a good faith attempt at discussion. If someone seems like a annoying horse's ass who just likes to hear himself talk, I'll give him the hook.

Hot off the press: I think this means no arraignment on Thursday, going to jury trial. (Attorneys?) Sounds like negotiations broke down and we're going to have a fight. Can't wait.

Nice to read some actual news on kraft in this thread.

I can see Kraft going all the way with this.
Use every delay tactic they can and it keeps the video under seal which I think is their goal.

Just admit you paid for an HJ, you old fart.

He basically already did, the only fight now is to Keep the video away from the public.
When did he admit anything? He is pleading not guilty. Unless you are talking about the "non-apology" apology, then I suppose, for anyone that bought it.

It was the 'Twilight Zone' of apologies ... there but not there.
Made about as much sense as a billionaire going to a run of the mill rub and tug.

More filings: April 9 case disposition. Is this the jury hearing? Seems awful fast.

Looks like I may wind up having to eat crow on this one. Could have swore it would not get to this area

I would think the attorneys would file motions before the April 9 hearing once they review evidence.

Why? We don't know anything yet. We'll know once defense files a motion.

A hearing this fast probably means a plea bargain, not a trial, particularly where there has been no ruling on whether the tape is to be sealed, or whether it's admissible.

Looks like there's also a sealed motion by the media (?) to try to obtain video in dispute of Krafts motion to protect it. Motion is not available for viewing.

Isn't there time to file motions before the hearing? Hearing can always be delayed, no?

I’d actually like to apologize to the entire board for my odd behavior. I’ve been misquoting people and starting arguments. This won’t happen again. I just seen gronk retire, got drunk, attacked Andy verbally. That’s just not my way usually but I do apologize

All this being said, I’m still never going to agree to tactics like we have seen in this case

No worries, unless your apology is a Kraft apology. ;)

But more importantly, Gronk got drunk and attacked Andy? Link?

Yes, but they went very quickly from an arraignment where the Defendant does not have to be present (which hasn't even occurred yet) to a hearing where the Defendant must be present (Defendants have to be present for trial, pleas & sentencing) just a short time away. If they were going to be filing motions on such complex issues as whether that videotape is admissible, that would not be scheduled so quickly. I bet you the arraignment either gets cancelled/continued or the attorneys appear very quickly and tell the judge that Mr. Kraft plans to enter a plea on April 9th.

Yep, the media smells a plea bargain too, one where the tape is sealed permanently.

Maybe the hearing is to address the motion for a protective order and the media's opposition to it.

Most didn't think it would escalate to this level, including me.
