Bill has a big job in front of him now.should be fascinating.

Sad news for the Patriots and their fans. I hoped he would come back.

I don't think OBJ was a realistic option either. But seemed like a player with potentially similar impact if he could keep his brain together.

Either way I totally agree. They will have to reinvent the offense. This will be a huge offseason/preseason for McDaniels. But they won a SB without Gronk before. Definitely made the next few months more interesting.

Can he retire, open up cap space, sign some more players, some restructures, then free up more cap space then bring him back? Can we hope

You can hope he unretires if you want. Don't expect the team to do the same though. They will move on in one way or the other.

Honestly I understand I'm about integrity as well.
But in the NFL it's dog eat dog.

We can still see him in the theaters.
