B.G.C. 2019 NFL Draft/Patriot-Type Players Thread

My god Harrison that was violent... Same with Ferrell

By last year I'd already given up the dream of getting Ferrell, but I wonder if some of the other EDGE players may have passed him by testing well. On the field, though, I see a perfect PTP.

Oh same here, I remember you saying about it, that Clemson front was unreal. I’d happily take Ferrell, Lawerence or Wilkins. All three are patriot guys. I think I have Wilkins above them all just from his background and his leadership but there’s not a lot between them

what do you mean about background? That he is from CT?

So TE and WR are huge needs even more so..

double dip TE a la 2010 and trade for a WR is the solution. 2019 Gronk wasn't going to give us much in the passing game so I'm not mad he retired but really surprised still.

Double dip in a strong TE draft now!

BB will find some gems in the defence i hope.. we have to get brady weapons

So many options now, would of been nice to have him back for one more year to groom the future guys.

I'd love Fant/Hockenson/Irv Smith as the first options for TE1 and for TE2 Dawson Knox/Kahale Warring/Josh Oliver

WR - Ridley is my dream along with Harmon.

I agree but I see too much drop off from Fant/Hockenson to Irv. I think it would be better to double dip 2nd/3rd round and 3rd/4th round.

WR - Deebo would be my favorite but prob not available 2nd round. Ridley or isabella at 73

Oh i agree there's a drop off form the Hock/Fant to Irv, but those are the top three. Just hope we can get one. Be Interesting to see how the board falls.

I think Deebo could be there with our first second pick, but depends on the value of other guys that we may be looking at. Plus there will always be guys that are overdrafted and make others fall.

Trying to remember a time when we were this thin. Like ever in terms of the franchise. We need to bubblewrap #11 until Sept.

Does Risner have any future at all as a Swing Tackle, or is he strictly a RT-only like he was at WVU?
KSU but honestly tough to say.

Personally I want to say yes bc I do think he has what it takes but its literally all projection. I think hes the definition of a RT though.

If we grabbed him worst case is we have a truly dominate IOl the likes of which we've never seen w Wynn, Thuney, Andrews & Mason. That's a ton of versatility & nasty.

(Including Wynn bc of his versatility)

Baker really intrigues me! If we didn’t draft Duke last year I’d of liked him here, but then again Duke could go into that Harmon role and play safety for us?

Baker is a beast on tape. Everyone sleeps on short corners (short meaning under 6'0" at this point), particularly if they don't run 4.3 40s, but that's not really what defines production in the NFL.

Yep KSU...had a brain fart because of the tweet and because I was also researching the WVU LT Yodny Cajuste at the same time...Cajuste might have better Swing Tackle potential anyway, though I wouldn't take him until one of our 3rd-rounders...I wish he had done more than the bench during the combine, and now I learn he didn't do jack squat at his pro day either. Damn.

Oh I agree, I don’t tend to worry to much about 40s unless it’s a major drop off. Like you said tape is more important you can’t test play rec, scheme understanding etc
