women are seen “manipulating Kraft’s penis and testicles”

Also, even if Kraft could show that he did not “solicit” sex, that’s not the only vehicle under Florida statute 796.07 through which the prosecution can prevail. If Kraft merely “induced” or “enticed” a sexual act through payment, that too would count as solicitation for purposes of the law.

And to the video taping was illegal argument
An argument contesting the lawfulness of the evidence could have some traction. However, so long as police can show a reasonable basis for believing that human trafficking occurred, the argument would probably fail. Also, even if human trafficking did not occur, illegal activity in the form of prostitution did occur. Therefore, while the videos might not have captured human trafficking, they still revealed criminal acts. Chances are, the video evidence will be admissible.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft has filed a motion to suppress evidence in his solicitation case, according to a report from ESPN’s T.J. Quinn.

Quinn notes the evidence in question includes video that authorities allege shows Kraft twice receiving sex acts on January visits to the Orchids of Asia day spa in Jupiter, Florida. The 77-year-old billionaire faces two first-degree misdemeanor charges of soliciting another to commit prostitution in Palm Beach County. Kraft’s attorneys are currently negotiating with prosecutors over a potential plea deal and the viability of the state’s case.

No they most certainly should not.

Are you seriously arguing that police choose to not enforce speeding while every day I see multiple people pulled over getting tickets?

Seems you would be happy in a police state, but only one that hasn’t criminalized strawman arguments.

I support following laws.
A society without laws is a society in ruin.
When you enact a law, law enforcements job is to enforce it, not determine on their own whether it’s a good law or not.

As far as the strawman comment I literally repeated what you said.

They may not have admitted it but but no one is investigating human trafficking regarding this case yet your post linked the spa to human trafficking

Why did you post that?

If there was zero evidence of trafficking, why did police initially say they were pursuing that angle? Maybe because that’s the only way to video taping authorized by a judge?

If the police did lie and used "Human Trafficking" as the reason for the video surveillance, there is a high probability that the case will be dismissed as the case travels through the Court system.

Either way Kraft would be nuts to accept the deal offered by the prosecutor, from afar it may look sweet to some, but to me it looks like they got a crappy case so lets try to make a deal.

None of this will spare him the terrible judgement and subsequent embarrassment that this has caused for him and his family.

Really, does the shot make a sound? I have been missing something but then I am hard of hearing.

Seriously this story can be followed in media around the world ... so yeah a metaphoric shot heard. Not sure if anyone's handy has ever been covered like this.

Should Prostitution Be Legal?
If we want to support women and elevate their rights, then we need to support legislation that provides better access to education, equal pay and health care. We need to provide programs and services for more women to work in government, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. We need to support women-owned businesses and find ways to lower costs for living. We have to tear down the systemic vulnerabilities that push women and girls into the sex industry and support NGOs who are on the front lines helping victims.

Let’s stop calling it the oldest profession in the book, and call it for what it is… the oldest “oppression” in the book. If you want to see women empowered, demand reduced, victims supported and ultimately, exploitation eradicated, the Abolition model is our best chance at that.

No. The police were INVESTIGATING human trafficking. Not finding any would not invalidate the surveillance or equal lying.

Depends. Legally it would be smart to take it and just make it go away. Public relations wise it would be dumb.
Since the legal repercussions are minimal kraft is all in on the PR side.

None of this will spare him the terrible judgement and subsequent embarrassment that this has caused for him and his family.
His strategy is to try to luck into a technicality so he can claim he was never convicted do therefore is innocent.
His entire plan is to create plausible deniability.

Aside from our resident fanboy admirers there isnt a person in the world who doesn’t realize he paid a hooker to whack him off then went back the next day to buy a blow job.

And then he misses 6 games and the tape gets “accidentally” leaked by a pissed off DA.
And then a DA gets sued for a tape that was illegally taken by the government of an innocent man

He did this to himself

How was it illegally taken? And how is he innocent?

Kraft is a major hypocrite for folding so fast on spygate and deflategate and his behavior now

.

Well you are just making things up.
Of course you can. But you certainly can’t if you plead guilty.

This is just not true. There are many reasons he wouldn’t take the deal even if his lawyers think it is his best choice legally.
1) public relations. Kraft rather pay a larger fine than be on record admitting guilt.
2) he may not do what his lawyers recommend
3) he may think the difference between the deal and the sentence if convicted is worth the risk despite a huh chance of losing
Those are just a few.

He isn’t going to the gallows. It’s a matter of a bigger fine or not.
To kraft minimizing damage is likely retaining deniability. Conviction is better than admission
There are many reasons that a) they advise him to not take a deal even if his chances of winning are small or b) he goes against their advice particularly for or reasons.
This isn’t a death penalty case.

This is in the police report. The first time he got a long madsagecrhen a hand job. The second time a very short massage and a blue job. None of that has anything to do with audio being required for a judge or jury to conclude getting a hand job and blow job in a brothel and paying a couple hundred dollars twice, constitute proof of solicitation of prostitution.

So you think that no one with a good lawyer has ever been convicted of anything?
Lawyers don’t change facts and evidence. And yes when someone is on tape committing a crime lawyers cannot just magically get them off because of how much they are paid. This is why the largest value of a top lawyer is negotiation a good plea. Perry Mason was a tv show.
If he is found guilty it is equally damaging as pleading out. The only way for him to win is to beat it. Which news has broken he is not taking the deal. There are plenty of articles with a simple google search that talk about the cops tenious position. Whether they obtained proper warrants for recording.. why they chose not to record audio. How kraft paid at the front desk not the actual women he interacted with. I appreciate that you like a good back and forth but I don’t see any reason to suggest he will lose in court. You are free to believe whatever you like. In fact I am not even sure what you are arguing? Do you think he gets convicted? I think he walks, as in not guilty. Or the cops drop the charges.
