With the contract Flowers got, I think the Pats are better off without him. As we've seen many times before, there may be a minor adjustment period before we eventually forget about him. I'd rather use the money on guys like Michael Bennett and other mid tier veterans eager for a ring. Maybe they bring in Suh or Houston.

I really liked Flowers, but not as much as some people did thinking he was the greatest DE to ever walk the face of the earth. According to some on this board, he could even walk on water. He was the Chuck Norris of DE's.

The Patriots lost a lot of guys with Trey Flowers. They haven't lost a single one since kicking his useless butt out of town. Coincidence? I think not!

Also the guy was a total locker room cancer. He tried to talk Brady into eating nightshades once, and didn't laugh when Gronk made a 69 joke; which made Gronk feel awkward.

We did it! We finally got our locker room back guys!

I cannot confirm this but I heard he rented a cottage by the beach and left beach sand under the bed.

First it was the avocado cupcakes Brady sent to welcome him to the team. Then it was the chocolate cake with avocado icing for his birthday. It was the last straw for Flowers when Brady showed up to his home after the Super Bowl with an offer for a free trip to California to take a tour of an avocado farm. Flowers lost it and signed with the Lions to get away.

He arrived at his new home in Detroit to find a goodbye and good luck avocado snack package.

You guys keep knocking Trey, but need I remind you we haven’t recorded a sack or won a single game since he left.
