How Much Would Odell Beckham Cost?

I have no idea how we’d make the money work, but got to think we’d be on the list.

Why are people so obsessed with Pats money? It will work like it always does.

Pats are among the top in cap space in 2020. The way things are going they might be on the top by the end of the day ;)

Niners
Colts
Patriots
Those teams make the most sense
I'm guessing Niners are the team give Jimmy G a new toy.
Giants didn't trade him to us last year out of spite.
Think that trend continues.
BB has a hard on for OBJ I just hope this isn't another Chad Johnson situation where the fits not there.
Maybe Tom takes a team friendly extension to bring him here.

OK, I have to ask. You have posted insults about Bob Kraft being cheap literally HUNDREDS of times on this forum. What's the deal?

Heaven knows there are plenty of reasons to insult Kraft, and I'd be first in line for most of them. But cheap? The guy who built a brand-new stadium complex without public funding or PSLs? With first-class facilities, food, training complexes, etc. for the team, when plenty of competitors still run camp at random colleges and hotels? Who even bought private jets for his team to fly in? When has he ever shortchanged the Patriots financially?

Obviously, the team opting for a larger group of mid-priced players rather than a handful of top-dollar guys doesn't actually save Bob Kraft money. You surely know that. So the Kraft-is-cheap mantra must come from something else. I really hope it's something other than it sounds like.

Anyway...I doubt that the Patriots will be willing to do what it takes to pry Beckham away from the Giants. But I feel 100% confident that Bob Kraft's "stinginess" will have nothing to do with it.

He’s a troll.

I thought they were 24-26 million under the cap?
That was before stuff like placing tenders on Jones + Gordon and the Bennett trade.

I would LOVE to add OBJ but i don't get the obsession with some WRs (Fitz/CJ/now OBJ).

Dude will cost a #1 and more probably and has a cap hit that will be 17m if i am not mistaken (we have 12m and 15 FA)

So we give our #1 and #3 and still have to clear 5m + draft picks cost + cushion + we won't be able to resign any of the FA that we have. Is it really worth it?

That kind of trade if for a team like Raiders, Colts, Jets.

You only need 17m to trade for him. Afterwards you can try lowering his cap hit, for example by converting salary to bonuses to spread out the cap hit. But in general I do agree that I would be hesitant to give up a 1st + additional picks for OBJ.

What about Sterling Shepard?

Stop staring at the current cap space. The Pats will have some what close to 100 million cap space next year.(105M-the rookie contracts and incoming FA). If the Pats really want some big ticket item, they will find a way to make it work and it will not be hard.

I dont want a pass heavy offense anymore. Brady would keep trying to feed him. I like the run pass balance we found late last season.

Golden Tate or OBJ. I’d take either, I just want someone really good. My trust in Gordon is nonexistent so I can’t even include him as our starter.
