Trent Brown saying right things

How much of us wish were Trey Flowers or Trent Brown just about now??:)

I would rather be Mike Trout. About to get 400 - 500 million. And he will actually be able to enjoy his retirement and old age.

He's saying Mo money mo money mo money!

This doesn't bode well for keeping Trey Flowers, there are too many stupid GMs out there. It is truly incredible how BB has been able to keep this team consistently winning while staying under the cap.

Due to other teams being stupid, like you said.. It's just funny to watch as well

Somebody is going to give Flowers a 5 year 90 million contract lol

awesome.....we get a 3rd rounder next year!!!!

How good was he rated prior to last year? Curious to know if he was always deemed this good.

If I'm an agent, the first thing I tell my clients is to say they're interested in every team. Even if you're not interested in going somewhere and have no intention of signing there, more suitors is always better.

5 teams vying for your services is more likely to result in a bidding war and a bigger contract, as opposed to pigeonholing yourself into one destination. The less teams there are, the leverage you and your agent have.

I don't care that Trent Brown says he wants to stay here.
I don't care that Trey Flowers said "let's get #7".
I don't care that Golden Tate said "he'd love to play with Tom".

None of it means anything. It's all lip service.

I thought Trent Brown was saying all the right things??

Patsfanken has explained the situation well in the past. In the NFL, the range in player talent is a smooth distribution, with the difference in ability between any adjacent players on that distribution, incremental. There are a few transcendental players, Brady, Gronk, Lawrence Taylor, etc., who are truly worth excessive amounts of money, but they are the exception. Many (most?) GMs think that in signing a good player to a huge contract, they have validated the player's greatness. In the end, their mistakes end up handicapping their teams and indirectly helping the Patriots.
