Redskins and Cardinals discussing Rosen trade?

Cardinals bailing on a guy after a year to draft a midget who weighs 200lbs number 1 overall is classic Cardinals.

I don't care what he did at Oklahoma, drafting a QB under 6ft at no 1 overall is madness.

All people can point to is Russell Wilson what about the other 100s of QBs under 6ft who were trash?
I will take Rosen off their hands to form the Hebrew to Hebrew connection with Edelman.

What about the thousands of QBs that have failed that are over 6ft? Maybe no team should take a QB 1st overall.

name all the franchise QB's in the last 10 years that have been under 6 feet.

It is an enormous risk to draft a QB under 6 feet as your starting franchise QB. To draft a QB under 6 feet with the first pick of the draft is gross incompetence.

There is always risk. Teams avoided Wilson because of height. I haven't studied Murray so I have no official opinion but using height as the only reason isn't good enough IMO. If he had other question marks that when combined with height, like lacks vision when making passes over the middle, then I would concede height as a valid concern.

It is more than a bit of risk to use the top draft pick to try to find the 2nd quality QB under 6 feet in a couple of decades.

But, I'll stop. This doesn't affect the patriots.

I hear Ryan Tannenhill is availiable. I hear he was a first round pick. And he's only making 18.5.

Oh crap, my bad. That's 18.5 million, not $18,500. Nevermind.

From Peter King: Saturday night, I asked a renowned NFL GM what he thought the value of Rosen in trade would. “Probably a three,” the GM said. “Not what the Cardinals would think his value is.”

FMIA: Kyler Murray, No. 1 Story at the Combine, And No. 1 Pick in the Draft?

For a third round pick, it seems like it would be worth it. He's supposed to be a bright guy, let him sit back for a couple seasons and learn from the best.

There are an equal number of active QBs not named Tom over the last 6 seasons to win a SB while being over/under 6 ft. :D

Russell Wilson and Baker Mayfield have been the recent examples. For what it’s worth, the over/under on where Murray will be picked started at 9.5, and has since moved down to 2.5.

Only time will tell as to whether or not Wilson and Mayfield have opened the door to shorter/average height QBs, or they are simply the exceptions. In the case of Murray, specifically, I would take Bosa instead, but I think they want to go with a different QB.

It's inconceivable to me that his value is only a third. Has this "renowned NFL GM" been in a coma the last five years?

The Saints just gave up a third for a Teddy Bridgewater that hadn't played a meaningful snap in two years; Teddy was only on a one-year deal too, whereas Rosen is on a very team-friendly deal for the next three years and still has FQB potential.

I'm not saying the Cards will recoup the value of the #10 overall pick, but there's no way in hell he's only worth a 3rd right now. There's a long history of teams giving up insane packages for QBs.

All that I have seen says that Mayfield is over 6 feet, although he grew 1/4 of an inch (to 6'1" from the Senior Bowl to the combine)

I don't see how Wilson's being drafted in 2012 has started opened the door to quarterbacks under 6 feet. There have been no quality QB's under 6' picked since then.
