Sure, they can make one up. But they have to have a reason, and if they make up one out of thin air, then all the better for you.

The first thing you need to ask is why you were stopped.

If they say that they are investigating reported criminal activity in the area, you sure as hell are not coming back tomorrow.

The fact that Kraft came back the next day, after being ID'd, is probably the most stupid aspect of the whole case.

We wanted Brady to fight his punishment because whether he did anything or not it was a vast overreach on the commissioners part to punish him as he did. And at the end of the day what Brady was accused of doing wasn’t a crime or morally wrong.

Krafts mess is NOTHING like this. Why the hell does anyone want him to actually fight this? It’s embarrassing. His only chance to “win” is through legal chicanery that won’t change public perception nor the leagues punishment.

The LE mishaps have been well-documented by many others here in this thread. How about for starters the fact that they went to all this trouble to get cameras in the place and film all of this and have NO audio? Sort of important if you are trying to prove someone arranged payment for an illegal service that could easily have been consensual.

Why would he have to make up a reason when he had a warrant to stake out a prostitution house and saw kraft leave it?
That is probable cause. I’m not sure why people think stopping a vehicle requires a traffic violation.
If a wanted criminal pulls up next to a cop
at a stop light and he IDs him I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have to wait until he breaks a traffic law to pull him over.

Please tell me that's not the best you have. What you just described is pretty standard; it's not even remotely "botching" the case to have video with no audio.

You don't need audio when someone leaves $50 on the table when they leave the room, or hand it directly to the woman.

A judge approved the cameras based on a wisfful thinking Sex Trafficking allegation.....BS
No Sex Trafficking will be proved.....Just a fish net tossed to snare a big fish or two.

Who cares? It’s none of your business how he pleads in his legal issues because you’re a fan of his team. What if he gets the charges dropped and then makes it difficult for the league to punish him? Then it’s worth it

There is nothing in anything you just said which makes the video evidence inadmissible. Unless you know something we don't, they got a warrant for the camera and were honest with the issuing judge regarding what they were looking for.

I am not even remotely morally outraged at what Kraft did. But don't insult everyone by saying he didn't do it or acting like this is all one big frame job of an innocent man by law enforcement.

The part about the LE being allowed to set up video cameras in a licensed massage parlor bothers me more than the part about Kraft paying for a handy.

Are we living in East Germany under the Stasi now?

We live in a culture now that thinks it's okay for a bunch of former mall cops to take naked pictures and grope us just so we can get on a flying bus, so the lack of outrage is not surprising.

Question: how many adult posters here have been pulled over for a traffic violation and the cop demanded ID from everyone in the car?

Kraft's lawyer: Officer how many John's who just left The Orchid did you pull over for traffic violations on Saturday? Nine you say? Would you call this high number simply a coincidence ....all for the same violation.....all exiting from the same parking lot while you happened to be staking out The Orchid.....and you never issued any tickets....but happened to write down every passengers information for your records? Just a coincidence?
How many men who exited the Orchid that morning didn't happen to have a traffic violation and didn't have every ID of every passenger confiscated for your inspection?

OT: Fellow older timers from New England may remember NH Gov Mel Thompson's interstate wars. When NH put the first liquor stores on the MA border, for obvious reasons, MA State police would sit in the store parking lots, watching for customers with MA plates who made large purchases. They'd follow those cars back across the state line, and bust them for bringing too much liquor into the state without a license.

Ol' Mel retaliated by putting NH State cops in the same lots, and following the MA State cops out onto the highway. Before they crossed the MA line, the NH copes would pull the MA cops over on some trumped up reason ("routine car checks" IIRC), thus letting the MA resident, NH liquor customers drive off without arrest.

It was hilarious. Mel followed this by seriously campaigning to allow the NH National Guard to have nuclear weapons, which made the people of neighboring MA towns quite nervous.

Unfortunate but true. I believe kraft will be found not guilty but will be punished by roger anyways. I don’t say that because I think he is innocent, I just think a billionaires lawyer beats this case to death.

What an embarrassment Kraft is.
