Kraft Orchids Case - Prosecuters Want a Tug Rule?

I think it is time for Bob to be phased out of his position. I don't think he's quite right in the head at this point. I thought so before this but now I'm more certain of it.

I honestly have no idea how Jonathan is but he is probably ready to take over.

I am still confused as to the first press release outright denying anything illegal happened, especially when the cops have the video evidence. No one is going to believe that he's innocent even if this Goldberger guy gets him off the hook. The press release makes him look like a liar. He should have just said "no comment at this time."

However Brady loves him.
This is Jonathan's teams now in my mind.
Or honestly gift it to Belichick he deserves it more than anyone.
Belichick in the owners meetings. I would love to be a fly on the wall for that.

If you honestly think getting caught with your trousers down and embarrassing the company you work for by means of sexual misconduct hasn't gotten people fired before I honestly don't know what to tell you. Quite frankly in the majority of organizations big enough to have a code of conduct at all, what you describe so sarcastically is exactly what the standing company policy is.

In fact if I recall right it's even a requirement under Federal law to at least pay lip service to the idea of sanctioning any employee who engages in this sort of behavior. If you want to blame the woman's lib movement for making a thing that's your perogative I suppose, but that doesn't stop it from being a thing.

And it's not like there isn't a VERY recent precedent of an NFL owner being informally ****canned over some very similar conduct.

And if you think for a single second this hasn't embarrassed the Patriots, then I do know what to tell you -- that you are either not being honest or not paying attention.

(Why do I get the sense that some of the people defending Kraft are actually projecting something onto Kraft that has to do with themselves?)

hey...numbnuts...Kraft IS the company. The rest of your diatribe is social justice warrior nutbaggery. Get over yourself.

how hardass can they get on two misdemeanors? if they go outside guidelines they'll be appealed.

Honesty, I think it is good this drug in someone like Bob Kraft. If not for some big name, this would just be yesterdays news and no one would care. And it would continue to happen day after day. Hopefully some good comes out of this.

So, assuming the video shows all that they claim it shows, Bob's only defense here would be "prove that I solicited. I'm a rich guy who came for a legit massage and they gave me something extra I didn't request." Not great but could be used to negotiate down.

I really find myself wondering about his judgement.

He goes there in the early evening of the 19th for a rub & tug, and then after he leaves the cops follow and pull over the Bentley and ask to see Kraft's ID even though he's the passenger.

And then he goes back again the following morning!

What the hell, Bob?

The one benefit to this all is that it is really helping to make MANY people more aware about sex trafficking.

In my view Kraft could really do the right thing by admitting his lapses in judgment, sincerely apologizing, doing his community service and donating at least 500K to an anti trafficking cause. He would be forgivven in the court of public opinion.

Hiring the Epstein lawyer is such a very bad look for him.

I completely agree, @QuantumMechanic. Absolutely stupid, horrific judgement at that point. You have to assume he's so used to getting his way, he probably thought the cop just wanted to talk to him or something.

After reading the story CNN has on it, I still cannot see him knowing what was going on besides the obvious. I just think the "Bob Kraft is a pedophile and part of a human trafficking ring" is crazy. It's SUCH a leap in logic. Plus, don't you think if the prosecutor had any proof of that, they'd have charged him with it. Taking down a billionaire would be a DA's dream, especially in a case like this, wouldn't it?

But at the end of the day I could be completely wrong. Who the hell knows anymore.

And as of 30 minutes ago this guy.

I guess when you’re worth billions and trying to get off....I mean beat......crap....get exonerated of the charges of soliciting a handy....

Tone deafness doesn’t really factor into the lawyer selecting calculus.

I am sure the other 24 appreciate Kraft being one of them. Nobody ever hears of their arrest and they probably get a slap on the wrist if there is no Kraft. Now, in trying to make Kraft an example, the others are screwed too.

So Kraft goes in on the 19th, a police officer asks him for ID after he left (and he produces a Massachusetts driver's ID), and he THEN goes back again on the 20th? What's wrong with him?

He got off because the level of girls he was dealing with and the fact that he passed a FBI lie detector test. Also, some of the accusations were so crazy that they seemed unbelievable - like sharing a sex slave with Prince Andrew. But in reality, they most likely were true. After the Strauss-Kahn bust, there were reports indicating an almost nutty sex culture amongst the ultra rich that are almost 100% true.

It makes me think of my mother-in-law. She's part of some socialite circle in Boston with a number of rich folks who will not be named. The activities they do are nutty. Nothing as severe as something like "Eyes Wide Shut" or sexual in nature but still nutty. Let's just say that really rich (mother-in-law is 7 digit rich but somehow fell in with these really wealthy through her ex-husband who is 9 digit rich) people are bored and spend a lot of money entertaining themselves with things. As a mild example, this circle of people (some names you would know) gather to "talk to the dead". Yes, they have a group with a name, some kind of guru who leads them, and meetings they attend. My mother-in-law has been going for years.

My wife and I laugh and say that they're so bored with their lives, they need to invent things to keep busy.

He's clearly a heavy drinker
Absolutely no way you can say that. It has been suspected that he has slurred speech on occasion from drinking and that's as far as it goes. He also speaks slowly/unclearly on occasion when he has not been drinking. I've met the man twice and got no sense of him having an alcohol problem. Perhaps he does struggle with booze, or maybe he's on medication, but none of that has been confirmed anecdotally or otherwise.
