I swear if Kraft tries to fight this I hope it completely blows up in his face. I hope the tape gets “leaked” all over the Internet, I hope theres audio, I hope it’s as degrading and embarassing for him as humanly possible. Because **** him if he thinks fighting this and essentially throwing your entire organization under the bus is the way to go.

Besides, it's the informal punishments that are really gonna hurt Kraft here, not the formal ones. NFL rulings come and go and can be survived and fought against, just ask Al Davis. But the informal sanction could be pretty stiff here, because Kraft was something of a patron saint of NFL owners so this damages the reputation at least indirectly of every NFL owner. Something tells me he won't be leading committees or sitting at the head of the table anymore. His reputation in the room was something he was willing to throw the best thing that ever happened to him under the bus to preserve, and that's gone now, or at least sharply diminished, because other owners don't want to be caught in the blast radius.

This is the big reason why I really want him to hand the team off to Jonathan now, and make sure his franchise is as clear of this mess as they can be and because that's the best way I know of to make sure the Patriots continue to have a strong voice on the Board. I don't think he'll do it, but it is the right move.

In 2015 he faced the decision of defending Tom Brady’s reputation as it was dragged through the mud or risking his own reputation amongst the league owners (the same ones doing the f’d up railroading.) I’m glad that deflategate justice spared no one. GTFO Bob...you weren’t worthy of #12.

I think it is time for Bob to be phased out of his position. I don't think he's quite right in the head at this point. I thought so before this but now I'm more certain of it.

I honestly have no idea how Jonathan is but he is probably ready to take over.

He hired BB. It wasn’t slam dunk, but ultimately he made the right call. So, what % of the credit do you give Kraft ?

I’ve been trying to give him benefit of the doubt and all that, and I certainly am a bit confused by some of the news coverage as if this was somehow the one solicitation arrest that has spiked everyone’s human trafficking antennae (but it’s okay that the investigation was EIGHT MONTHS LONG)....but hiring an Epstein attorney is pretty blatantly media tone deaf in a way that just makes me want the guy out of the NE picture ASAP.

Jeffery Epstein's lawyer got his client such a good deal that Epstein's victims took the case to court, and the courts have (11 years later) declared it to have been illegal.

So, yeah, that's definitely a guy you want to consider hiring.

Tough to put a percentage on it but he knew who he wanted as our HC from
BBs time on parcells staff in 96. He saw first hand what an excellent coach Bill was. So in krafts mind this hire was a slam dunk, the only hurdle was getting him out of his jets contract.
