Its the offseason. We could discuss shrimp recipes and it would be appropriate for this thread.

Well, let's start with something more basic: what you guys are calling "shrimp" are actually prawns . ;)

"For starters, let’s be perfectly clear that shrimp and prawns are actually two distinct animals. Though both belong to the family of marine life called Decapod crustaceans, the various types of shrimp each fall under the sub-order Pleocyemata, while prawn species belong to the Dendrobranchiata sub-order. The sub-orders are similar, sure, in that they both feature ten-legged animals protected by hard exoskeletons, but the similarities stop there.

Shrimp possess lamellar, plate-like gills and a set of claws on their front two pairs of legs. Prawns, in comparison, have branching gills, and claws on three sets of their legs, with the front pair being noticeably larger. One nuanced visual distinguisher setting shrimp apart is the distinct three segments of their bodies, with the middle segment overlapping the front and rear portion. Prawns, lacking such body segmentation, have straighter bodies than shrimp."
As for recipes, there are so many great ways of cooking them. Currently, I'm eating them cooked with garlic and herbs and a splash of white wine as a spaghetti sauce. Great winter comfort food!

He's been a pretty good thorn in the Pats' side, but he's no Gronk on the LOS.

fitz just signed an extension in az, he's definitely not coming to the pats.
But I have a friend who saw him at the airport.

This just means we will get those rumors towards the trade deadline instead.

Lazar (and Jason Fitzgerald who is running overthecap.com) with a logical argument why Brown might fail to get even close to franchise tag / Solder money:

First time I read something that made enough sense about the entire Trent Brown situation to make me at least question my stance that he will get at least 13-14m APY.

The weight issues, inconsistent play, and rumors of laziness weren’t doing it for you? :)

I think there may be a team that could offer something close to your projected range, but it’s hard to envision a long term deal. I’m thinking 2 years, max.

Charles Clay? I'd rather have Kyle Brady. At 50 years old or whatever he is now.

Bills fans seemed thrilled they cut Clay. Eh.. Pass.

If you have followed my opinion about Brown through the year then you know that I have been definitely on the "inconsistent" play train. The weight issues was something that was only relevant in the past with the 49ers as was his "lazyness".

Not saying they were not true but as with many things you'd assume a dominant postseason will make someone glance over that and assume that Scar "fixed" him.

My issue always was with at least one team just being so desperate for OL help (cough Texans) that they will just ignore all of this and assume they get the postseason version of Brown.

Shooting back to Beckham.

The cap hit is 20 million over the next few years and the out is 35, 14.7, and 8 million. I understand why posters are saying his contract isn't that bad considering other WRs, but seriously?

And BB would have to give up draft choices in addition?

Hmmm

If others won't consider more than a 2 year deal, then the patriots should sign Brown to a long-term deal. He could be a starting or swing tackle for us for several years. This situation reminds me of the Cannon situation before his last two extensions. Many here thought that Cannon should be cut, and certainly not signed to the deal that he got.
