Brady's Secret Superstitions to Winning SB's Revealed

I sure as hell don’t believe what the Medical field professionals sell. Since we fill their offices on a daily basis while practicing their suggestions.
Brady is playing at a high level at 41 while using unconventional tactics. His methods show success. I don’t mess with success.
Hint... when you pick a Doctor check out the size of his fingers first :(

I don’t even know where to start...

Not sure what's more idiotic, that or the de-acidification crap. I mean blood pH is one of the most tightly-regulated things there is.
An alkaline diet doesn't have to do with blood ph. I eat more alkaline foods due to reflux and it definitely helps to cut out acidic fruits and other acidic foods. I no longer take Nexium and rarely have issues.

That’s not why Brady does it though.

I know. I doubt he has any stomach issues. I was just noting the alkaline diet doesn't affect blood ph. It's more to do with stomach ph.

Hey everybody, guess what? Brady is 41 years old coming off his SIXTH Super Bowl win and has gone to the title game NINE times. Any laughing at/criticism of his allegedly "nutjob" methods really doesn't fly very far when you consider them in context.

Carrying around and having healing/protection stones isn't weird in itself. Plenty of people believe in that kind of thing. Repeating mantras and wearing a necklace seens a little bit much so I find it odd but humorous/cute.

And given what the Patriots and Brady have done, witchcraft is a more valid theory for their success than cheating, or favorable officiating as haters would claim.

Educate yourself, it's not all hooey wooey nonsense. Mantras can be of great value aiding focus, positive reinforcement and calmness/clarity under duress (this has been scientifically verified). And if the necklace contains crystals, science is coming around to quantifying their capacity for attracting health-promoting negative ions.

I attribute 6 super bowls to his ability and not protection stones, but what do I know?

Chill. I was one of the few people on here saying it wasn't crazy, a little odd at most.

Yes, certain foods are bad for acid reflux. But that has little to do with tons of hokey diet books making lots of money telling you how to eat alkaline and drink alkaline to avoid cancer, dementia, inflammation, and apparently a rainy day

He's deep into the woo

-lots of water cures everything
-foods like tomatoes and strawberries are somehow bad (the alkaline diet nonsense).
-protection stones
-He's probably also into essential oils and "toxin cleanses"

All of this is crap.

-Your body tightly controls blood pH and nothing you eat alters that. Good thing, or you'd die.
-So.... eating certain common foods like those in the nightshade family in normal amounts doesn't really cause "inflammation", cancer, or anything else
-Everything is toxic and nothing is toxic, because it is the DOSE that makes the poison.
-Everything except a vacuum is a chemical.
-A chemical being natural or synthetic has no bearing on its safety. Most poisons come from nature.
-GMOs are not inherently unsafe just because a few nucleotide base pairs of DNA are selectively altered. Any traditional tried-and-true breeding process RANDOMLY alters WAY MORE of the DNA.
-If you have a working liver and kidneys, you are "detoxing" just fine.

He can peddle the woo all he wants. I will just enjoy his quarterbacking.

Tom is into alot of crazy stuff.
He’s also into Gisele on a regular basis.

Maybe not so crazy after all.

If you thought the Alex G stuff had a wacko element, fasten your seatbelts...

Tom Brady Says Superstitious Gisele Bundchen Has Him Using ‘Protection Stones’ – And It Works

Brady said Bundchen “always makes a little altar for me at the game because she just wills it so much,” complete with pictures of his children.

And I have these little special stones and healing stones and protection stones and she has me wear a necklace and take these drops she makes, I say all these mantras,” Brady said. “And I stopped questioning her a long time ago. I just shut up and listen.”

Brady said at first he thought “this is kind of crazy,” but it worked.

“About four years ago we were playing the Seahawks and she said ‘you better listen to me, this is your year, but this is all the things you’re going to have to do to win,’ and I did all those things and by God, you know, it worked,” Brady said.

Bundchen also predicted that 2015 would not be Brady’s year, he remembered, and sure enough that season for the Patriots ended disappointingly in the AFC Championship game.

As a fan, I propose to make the ultimate sacrifice to offer my body to Gisele if she declares 2019 to be another SB winning year & tells Tommy Boy.
Ian, I'll need a letter explaining sacrifice this for my wife.

I, too, would sacrifice you for another Super Bowl victory. Although mine would involve a pyre.

And don’t flatter yourself, your wife would as well ... in return for a Brazilian stud to call her own.

Some people are claiming this amounts to witchcraft...

Oh, it totally is. "Witchcraft" is simply a derogatory term that refers to the beliefs and medicines held by all of our ancestors several hundred years ago. And as @Deus Irae pointed out, some of the herbal treatments had some medicinal actual value, based on trial and error. The stones etc. is all derived from the polytheism that we all believed in prior to the rise of monotheism.

As in any change over in beliefs, the rise of monotheism brought the need to trash the traditions in place. What was virtuous was now sinful (polytheism became devil worship, etc.). Women were replaced by men as the holders of medicinal power, so there also needed to associate the bad things with women, hence "witchcraft" was given a bad name, menstruation went from a reverent experience to a dirty one, nature went from being a human partner to something that needs taming and conquering etc..

That formula - the "reinterpreting" of long held practices to support new ones - is as old as human history. Fun to watch in sports, too.

I hope that he vaccinates his kids.

That's the goofball belief that negatively affects other people. Magic crystals, jade eggs, soothing stones, incense, and chanting doesn't really bother anybody.

Dude, you're bringing me down man.

My lucky sweatshirt has a better playoff record than Tom Brady.

Tom knows the Secret to a successful marriage. If it doesn’t hurt anyone then just listen and do as your wife says.

I don't know how he knows what my wife always says but I do know it works and it has for quite some time now. It goes back to the 4th Law of Guydom: If you've got the penis you're wrong. Just accept it, move on and understand that it isn't personal, it would have happened to anyone with a penis that happened to be there.
