AAF suspends football operations

It'll never happen, but imagine if the AAF became a second tier of the NFL, and the prize of the AAF championship was the right to replace the worst NFL franchise in the big leagues. Now THAT would be must-watch TV in the winter, and it would put an end to the phenomenon of tanking forever.

Well it would stop teams doing a suck for luck

Hackenberg was painful to watch in that first half.

Luis Perez looked pretty good for Birmingham, though.

That and the arena league, you gotta wonder if there will be inevitable football fatigue for fans.

Following the game on the app is pretty interesting. I am thinking every player has a locator on them which enable the app to give you a tactical view of where every player is on every play. However, they haven't quite got it right yet because there's no ball.

Funny thing is the app is about 1 full play *ahead* of the telecast. You can see what is going to happen on TV before it happens.

The announcers tonight are sleep inducing...ha! Marvin Lewis and mj Drew doing color, they are terrible!

These games aren't the best, but they're definitely filling my craving for football. I can dig it. Also, Starter doing the uniforms is awesome. I didn't even know they were still around. It takes me back.

Another gambling opportunity, I like it.

When Nascar, college basketball and hockey get in full swing AAF will be a blip on the radar screen nation wide.

NFL europe in America.

AAF will probably have better ratings than the NHL. The others I agree with even though i'm not a fan of either.

Yep, there is a natural progression to a different sport after the Super Bowl. Golf cranks up, NCAA tournament, NHL, Daytona.

I love football but I'm ready for the season to be over. The team building aspect of FA and the draft are also alluring.

AAF is unnecessary. I just can't see it generating enthusiastic fan bases.

We'll see. Their season ends right around the draft.

Are my speakers broken or does it sound like the broadcast has some weird tunnel/echo effect?
