Trey Wingo has a message for fans who said the Super Bowl was boring

The super bowl was a “pitchers duel” yesterday. Had me on the edge of my seat...because one play could/would completely change the game.

God help me I love games like last night's. Every snap could be THE one the game turns on. What's the point of even watching a championship game that doesn't have the ability to give you an ulcer?

The game itself was awesome. I like 3 to 3 games better than 30 to 30 games.

Football is supposed to be a chess match with offense AND DEFENSE. Not just who gets the ball last.

This Super Bowl as an event overall though just sucked. Rams didn't belong there and that halftime show was just god mother ..... awful.

I'm surprised it even got the ratings it did.

I'm hoping this is just a case of the blind squirrel finding a nut because I'm fairly certain a jete fan making a sensible post is one of the signs of the footballpocalypse

I work in San Diego and this was exactly what I heard this morning and I was unsure if we were watching the same game until I realized the “half time show” crowd really does exist. I had a spinal twitch and then carried on with my life, thankful for the existence I am conscious in.

He's been on the forum with the "Rams didn't belong there" thing as a passive-aggressive attempt to discredit the Pats sixth win.
If you think there's any chance he's got an opinion that's free and clear of anti-Pats bias, just ask @Joker.

Most true football fans appreciate defensive games like that last night just as much, if not more, than games with non-stop offense.

Wait, wait, wait...if the Rams didn't belong there, who did?

The only NFL team better than the Rams at this point (other than the Patriots) was probably the Chiefs.

Period.

I find games with non stop offense to be just as frustrating as last night’s game.

It’s not that I don’t enjoy defense. I enjoy it very much, as long as it’s our defense making the plays.

The Super Bowl was far more entertaining than the rams-chiefs game. No one expected that from both Ds. Also, both kickers missed kicks. And both punters were mvps. Refs were also A+ for the most part.

The Saints might have something to say about that...

:p

No doubt the refs screwed the Saints big time. Serious black eye to the league. But I enjoyed the reffing in the Super Bowl because it felt barely there. They did not make it about penalties and it was much appreciated.
