Not Brady’s Best Game...

This game sort of reminded me of that buffalo bills game. Didn’t really need to air it out. I would rather have a super bowl win where Brady throws no td passes than a super bowl loss where he throws 4. See last year.
I don't really care if we win 2-0 off a safety. All I care about is a Superbowl win.

Agree, by the way.

His PR has always been 80-90ish... It's not a game of perfect . But he owns the 4th quarter... It's like the light comes on and his teammates know it.

Brady was Brady when we needed it most and he delivered like he does. This was never going to be a flashy game. It wasn’t going to be like last years game.

The biggest issues we have is our receiving core... the fact that Jules and Gronk are the only two that can beat man coverage is ridiculously worrying.

We need to draft some weapons for Brady, as Hogan wasn’t even a factor today.

He had 2 bad throws to Hogan and another one to White. But THE ONLY time that he was the main focus of the drive he delivered. Flores and Bill saved Josh bad game plan. Hogan to involved, White was not ''used''.

Last 3 drives vs Chiefs - 3 TD and 20 points. Needed everyone of them. Last 2 drives against Rams - TD, FG for 10 points. Brady almost always comes up big in the biggest moments and did so again this game.

There were a handful of plays where I thought (can remember....too much beer) Brady was spooked or making a bad pass. Other than that, I thought this game was a defensive masterpiece from both sides. I really, really enjoyed it. It was the game I didn't know I needed after last year's loss. Such a slugfest, and Brady needed one impressive TD drive to win the game, and did. So good.

Brady didnt have to win it in sb 36 either.

I don’t care if the narrative is that the defense won it, we won it. I think as fans we should be fine to admit that Brady was ‘a little off’ last night and not his usual self. We won.

To be fair I think that last drive was 100% runs, which actually makes it more impressive. The d was loaded up to stop the run and we still rammed it down their throat.

Name another EGO-driven HoF QB that would accept the new brand in todays game. Gordon leaves, NEP become a power running team. Brady ? Accepts, embraces, excels.

Winner. #1 winner ever.

Rater than focusing on TB's performance, why not give credit to Rams D and Wade Phillips. They played a superb game...in spite of of that amazing defensive performance TB and Patriots were still mentally tough enough to do what they had to do to win the game....
that is ALL that matters

Brady wasn't bad--the Ram's D played that good for most of the game.

Where were those magnanimous words last year when the majority refused to give any credit whatsoever to Foles and their offense ?

Also forcing some throws deep, but have to remember some of those were knowing that was his only shot before pressure gets there. Upgrading from Hogan should help that.

I was expecting Cooks to be big in this game. He might've been if Goff didn't suck.

We had a very good outside threat last year in Cooks and we decided to trade him away. At this point in Brady's career we should not be playing for the future. Optimize for the next 3 years.

If we get lucky we may even have 1-2 players come for cheap as we have in the past.
Larry Fitzgerald could've been one of those guys, but seems like he likes losing on the Cardinals a bit too much as resigned with them.

Yes Brady wasn't good. I was really pissed about his fumble because I felt that he knows better. But Brady did what was needed at the end of the day. Lastly, we probably score at least 20 if we had benched Hogan. With all of the talk of retirement of certain players and defensive players like Shelton having a rough year, no one had a more disappointing season imo than Hogan. This was a bad contract year for Hogan and he tops it off with this performance.

Hogan just isn’t going to get open against good corners on his own. Doesn’t mean he played bad, just what he is. Time to move on.

It's hard to get the passing game going with 2018 Hogan out there as your #2 receiver. Dorsett was invisible as well. Gronkowski showed up, but we're not talking about a dominant Shaq-like creature of yesteryear anymore...

In these cirucmstances hard to blame Brady for feeding Michel/White/Burkhead, especially that O-line and Develin were present and in a great form.

The ring is all that matters now, and "2018 Brady" is the past. Soon we'll see if receiving corps will get some young blood... we'll see if Brady stops the decline for another year

Brady now has as many Super Bowl wins as the Stealers, I honestly don’t care about the stat line.

No one will ever convince me that it’s an ugly win. Last night if someone had said that. The outcome would have been less than optimal.

In the regular season, I’ll say some wins are ugly but an ugly super bowl trophy is some kind of stupid oxymoron

Hogan just isn’t going to get open against good corners on his own. Doesn’t mean he played bad, just what he is. Time to move on.
No need to move on. Hes a WR 3,4. Keep him there hes fine.

Just because hes not a WR2 you dont cut him

Meanwhile a few other fanbases (notably, Colts fans) are starting to say this "poor" performance from Tom Brady somehow detracts from his legacy? While the likes of Eagles fans are saying how they probably would have beaten the Patriots again, and the funniest one: Chiefs fans saying they should have been here.
Who really cares about other teams fan bases. We watched our 6th SB Win last night. We made it a standard to come out of the tunnel as a team. Our team just won its 6th. Brady played just good enough but that is fine. But let’s face it a lot of different players have won SB’s with Brady. Everything after those SB’s were Brady Brady Brady and deservingly so. It was nice to see others get recognized this time. Defense and Edleman and Gronk. Let those other fan bases chirp all they want. We still get a Parade

People really are oblivious when they are watching as football game. The rams defense played great. Our other wrs had no separation. Brady had no time to any progression. He wasn’t great but considering the game, he did well enough to win. Some miss throws were evident.

Brady chants engulf the stadium and he proceeds to march down the field and score us the TD. He deserved a SB where the defense won him the game. Especially after last year’s SB.
