Except for 2 considerably long, low % passes (that were excruciatingly close to being completed), the Rams never were close to threatening the Patriots' endzone, not once. This from a team that was averaging almost 5 TDs per game during the regular season..
Best SB D performance ever by the Patriots, period. The best modern day SB D performance, period. And given the rules strongly favoring the offense compared to the pre modern day era, best SB D performance ever (though this last one could be argued).
Over the years the Patriots' SB D has turned in some bad performances as well as some damn good performances -- 2001 to name one. Tonight this SB was won by the Patriots' D. Loved Jules getting the MVP but the D was the MVP and, IMHO, it's not even close. Insane performance by a D that had its down moments (run D, specifically) during the regular season.
