Bettor places $1.5M on Rams straight-up (won on $1M Eagles bet last year)

The sharps spent the opening days betting the Pats. The general public is who dumps money into it at the end.

Sharps bet the Pats because they knew the line would move a lot, so a lot this is arbitraging. One of the few consistently lucrative ways to beat Vegas, because it’s easier to predict the public’s sentiment and subsequent line movements than it is the actual game.

So why would that have any affect on YOUR confidence?

I just imagine a lot of people (behind a 1.5M bet, which I surmise is the case here) are a lot more sophisticated - and more important objective - in their pick. This isn’t usually some billionaire 19 year old putting down a bet like this.

Does this guarantee a loss? Of course not. I still love the Pats in this one. But take last year - you had about a dozen huge bets all on the Eagles and every sharp picked them.

Lol...no I think people misunderstand why I say this hurts my mojo. Heavy betting against the Pats, especially from the sharps on 42, 46, and 52. Of course it won’t effect the outcome or the game and doesn’t mean there is anything like a guarantee. It’s just the person who - thus far - has been willing to put out the biggest bet, is picking the Rams. And I’m guessing a bet like this is pretty damn scrutinized.
True 'sharps' wouldn't bet that much on a game. He's a rich whale who likes to make a splash for the big game.. kind of like a rich guy buying a stupid piece of modern art.. if anything it makes me feel better that more money is on the Rams.

Most Sharps bet the Pats early when the line first came out. Bettor X placed a 10 million bet last year on Eagles. Probably not the same guy. Listen just because some Sharp bets 1.5 mil on the Rams that does not make him smarter than the Sharp that bet the Pats for 150,000. Those are large bets and more Sharps have bet the Pats. Just a little more money to play with

I found out it’s eric ****-erson

Seriously though. He just lost that bet.

What people bet is irrelevant.
I've watched both teams down the stretch.
Both teams are playing well.
But there's a reason the VAST majority of "experts" are picking the Patriots. Close to 70%.
There are more legit reasons why the Patriots will win than the Rams.
Doesn't mean they will.
Patriots are a better overall football team and have a slight advantage in matchups. But they're not head and shoulders better.
A lot is being made of the Rams DL. Donald is the real deal. But this is not the 2007 ny giants dl- one of the best all time.
And the Patriots ol graded out as the #1 passblocking ol in the NFL. And they might be even better runblocking.
Patriots are the more physical team.
The Rams deserve to be here, despite the bogus no call. Pats will have their hands full. Game will probably be close.
But I'm very confident.

I AM BETACUS!

Not concerned.

Because hopelessly rich people have never in history made stupid mistakes with their money!
They have when they've bet on sporting events...

The bettor is a buxom blonde who also placed a $ 50k prop bet that Trent Brown would be crying during the national anthem.

its Kraft! he’s just trying to motivate his Pats even more

Wait, so it's not mystery bettor x? I thought it was.

Not worried in the least. If said bet is placed with a small spread like it is, he stands to make more cash with the underdog. And really its not that much more. It’s a really no duh kind of bet. Stop getting spooked.

The seven figure bets the 2 years prior were for the underdog. Because of course they were. This isn't a sharp bet, this is some millionaire/billionaire which to them it's only worth it to bet on the underdog.
