Going to the Super Bowl

Ok guys I'm in. Bought 3 seats together for $2500 each (upper deck EZ) from Ticket Bash. It may seem like a lot, but I am paying $1000 less than I did last year. Atlanta, here I come! Go Patriots!!

Have you used ticket bash before?

No. I almost used them last year as their prices are a few hundred dollars less than everybody else, but I ended up going with a local Minnesota ticket broker. I am taking a bit of a flyer, but they seem legit. I put in a bid on their site and they called me and met my price, even though 3 seats for $2500 each isn't advertised on their site. I've had to talk to them several times because I had cc issues (even though you call them ahead of time to tell them you are making a big purchase, they still decline the damn charge). They're following the same security protocols as TickPick and StubHub in Atlanta, there are no bad reviews on-line, the broker gave me his cell phone number and if they rip me off, I am an attorney and I will hunt them down (I didn't tell them that part :)). The charge was exactly $2500 per ticket; no extra fees.

That's exactly my plan as well.

Let me know if you want to meet up @ the stadium on game day. I also will be looking for two tix and if you are up for it, we can try our luck and see if we can get a good price for four tix together.

Sure. Heading down in a bit will be in Atlanta around 1am. But will be scouring the interwebs and back alleys of Atlanta. Looking to score 1k per tix or better :D

Is the pickup location convenient? Like near the stadium, etc.?

I clicked on it and that's each - not for the pair. A little deceiving on their part.

No, that's how they all list them. Per ticket.

prices are dropping like crazy...still debating driving down today/tomorrow depending what happens!

GO!

As of now, I am still going to follow your previous strategies - try to buy it on game day @ the stadium.

To those who have been chiming in and encouraging people to go - thank you. :)

A slightly tricky question to you folks who have been to the SBs:

once you were in your seats, did you feel that you could have spent a bit more and got tickets in a section closer to the field? Or, did you think that the whole experience of watching the game live even from the nose bleeds was well worth it?

Thanks in advance.
Well worth it, not even close.

NRG stadium, and most new stadiums at that, don't really have a bad seat in the house. This isn't even my frugal/penny-pinching side convincing myself, but there's something about being able to see a play develop from a higher viewpoint.

Also - I was directly above James White when he scored the OT winner in 2016, so I may be a tad biased :D

If you're on the fence, go. It's not worth it to look back and have regrets.

They say it is, although they are not releasing the location until later today (they all do that so I don't go rob the place before the big game). I will be curious about how others who are waiting until game day do in terms of price. I hope you all get a bahgin.

Thanks! Great to know that there are not that many bad seats. :)

I agree that the view from the top that will allow to see the play develop but didn't know one feels more 'immersed' sitting in the 200s.

And I envy you that you got to see that overtime SB live. What a memory to store.

And yes, I will be there on Sat night. Tix are the one that I will decide later - probably few hours before the game.

Ah, you had said for a pair in your post w/the screenshot - that threw me off.
I meant that a pair was avaiable. For that price I would have just bought 'em myself!

Sorry if I was unclear.

Thanks @Ian for all you do.

LOL, you're all good, man. No worries :D

I'll likely never make it to a Superbowl, but am living vicariously through this thread. We just added a house onto our house and retirement is near so other priorities. If life ever changes, I will know who to contact.

If you have the funds and it's not going to put you in debt, I'd encourage any pats fan to go to at least one super bowl. It's a once in a lifetime experience, the dynasty is most likely not going to be around for much longer, and you never know if they'll get back.

My situation worked out perfectly with the Falcons Super Bowl so it was obviously worth every penny but even if they lost it was something i always wanted to do. The Pats are such a big part of our lives so why not spend a little money and experience the ultimate entertainment with your favorite team

I was at SB 51....

And at half time, I was openly questioning my sanity....

Yup, agree...do it ONCE in your lifetime if you can. A lot of fun...especially with a sweet win...
