Going to the Super Bowl

Im so fighting with myself over this at the moment.
If you can financially do it, go for it! Trust me you will never forget it, it's an unreal experience and worth every penny! After saying I was only going to go to one SB (last year) I found myself going again this year, just hoping for a different result.

Prices dropping Deb.

As of now, I am still going to follow your previous strategies - try to buy it on game day @ the stadium.

To those who have been chiming in and encouraging people to go - thank you. :)

A slightly tricky question to you folks who have been to the SBs:

once you were in your seats, did you feel that you could have spent a bit more and got tickets in a section closer to the field? Or, did you think that the whole experience of watching the game live even from the nose bleeds was well worth it?

Thanks in advance.

I am probably going. I looked up tickets last night found some for 2300, but then when I clicked to actually get one, there was Flo saying "Oh plus 400 dollars in fees." I was like "WTF no why don't they just include this in the ticket price this is bull2##@$". SO I didn't buy it.

Anyone have any idea how to buy with lower fees than Stubhub, or maybe should I just go to Atlanta and buy on Sunday for cheapest seats?

Anyone else going to the event tonight at Fado Midtown? I'm heading down there. Supposedly the cheerleaders and some ex-players are coming.

I’m super pumped for it- even though I live in the Atlanta suburbs, this will be my first time this week taking in the Super Bowl full atmosphere. I was just telling my wife last night that this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing…my favorite team playing the SB in the city where I live. It’s been a damn fun two weeks of hype.

TickPick. The price displayed is the price you pay.

I am here in Atlanta ready to go...:)

Cool dude!

Hope you have a fantastic time!! Please keep us posted on how you spent the day and the tailgates you are attending. Let me also PM you and give my contact details in case you want to meet up on game day.

I am bringing my Bruschi jersey and hope I can meet him and get his signature.

Enjoy and GO PATS!!

Just had "The Talk" with my wife, and she gave me her blessing. I think she didn't understand how important this is to me, and now she does (she is from LA and a basketball fan). I am now at about 90% sure I'll go.

In the age of smartphones, I doubt if this is necessary but just a heads-up on the bars and places near the MB stadium.

I was trying to see how far the 'High Velocity' bar - among the top 5 Pats bars listed in the article that BrandonFive was kind enough to post last week.

The stadium is in the lower left corner.

My brother and I are heading down today. He is jumping on a plane in Portland and I am picking him up in Charlotte ( I live in VA). Got a hotel room for 116 bucks with the govy rate in Marrietta, so regular hotel prices still available, just have to drive about 20 minutes.

We have gone to Phoenix and Houston with no intention of going into the game, we just tailgate and watch the game in the parking lot. But this year its just me and him so we are going to try and score some cheap tix just before kickoff, if not will revert to our normal practice.

Figure people might panic if they still have tix just before kickoff, works at most regualar games and concerts. Anyone have any experience applying this strategy at previous SB's?

the only problem with TickPick is their supply is usually less than the other brokers...

Have spent the last 15 minutes obsessively looking at tickets there. They have a great interface that shows you panning images from the seat you would buy. Great site!

The main issue I see with that plan (outside potential inventory issues) is how do you know you aren’t buying fake tix? If you are buying tix from some random dude you see, there isn’t much you can do to guarantee authenticity. I’d be sweating bullets when the agent scans my ticket. At least you get peace of mind from the online sellers.

FrontRowTickets.com has a pair for $2,051. No fees from what I can see. A few others around that range, too.sb53.PNG

Absolutely, their app is great.

I've been looking at hotels near the airport. Some real cheap rooms still available, but the hotels don't get the best reviews. I guess you can't be picky for the Super Bowl.

Both TickPick and Ticket Bash have no fees. Ticket Bash has tix in your price range right now.

Several ways, look for the security features on the tix. We will be getting 2. Have the dude give one to my brother while I stay with him brother gets in give him the cash and then he gives me the 2nd tix. Maybe a little trickier with the perimeter security they use at the SB.

Something like that.

But SB 46 tix on StubHub dropped to 800 bucks at the last minute. So people online panic as well.

That's exactly my plan as well.

Let me know if you want to meet up @ the stadium on game day. I also will be looking for two tix and if you are up for it, we can try our luck and see if we can get a good price for four tix together.
